# About me

I’m a 3D artist and computer enthusiast from Spain. By the end of 2011 I began to learn how to use Blender, a free, open source suite for 3D modeling, rendering and animation. I regularly post here the works I create with this tool. At least those I deem worthy of posting.

Here is my youtube channel, in case you want to check the animations I have created with Blender:

www.youtube.com/user/minimaexp…

I always welcome all kinds of feedback.

Tienes muy buenos trabajos Juan José, yo estoy aprendiendo Blender y Cycles. ¿Qué hardware usas o me recomiendas? Un saludo!

Muchas gracias.

No problem. I wasn't aware you were a Blender user. Everything I see in your 3D gallery are brilliant Zbrush sculpts. I also like your render style, making your models feel like traditional illustration. Do you do post-processing in photoshop or the like, or are they straight Zbrush renders?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Shapula In reply to JuanJoseTorres [2013-10-11 08:34:15 +0000 UTC]

Hi Juan and thanks! I learned Zbrush about a year ago but before that I only used Blender. I was nominated for Blender Suzanne award a few years back for best film but my sculpting 'skills' were nowhere near as good as yours!

Yes I do a lot of post process in Gimp to get the look I want. Sometimes I use Blender composite nodes for particle/dust fx too.

JuanJoseTorres In reply to Shapula [2013-11-07 12:31:49 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for the compliment, but I actually don't sculpt my models. Everything I create is by means of subdivision modeling. I've been meaning to learn sculpting for some time, though. I've decided to take the risk and buy a Surface Pro 2, so I will probably do a lot of sculpting and sketching on it. I don't know if I'll get to be as good at sculpting as you are, but I'll be happy if I get good enough to be able to integrate is in my workflow.

I can't understand how come you don't have more watchers. Your space ship thread over at Blender Artists, for instance, is astounding.

Well, it's okay.  People are very busy nowadays, so it's all good.  I'm eating, still, so I can't complain!

Thanks, though, for the nice comment.

I'm so sorry about that... When I entered the chatroom it was empty, and I forgot to close that tab in Firefox. The I got tangled with my current project in Blender and forgot about everything else. I will be more careful next time.

re YouTube animations: Very happy to learn of ocean simulation already availble. I have far future project in mind for which I will need that. So glad I won't have to invent it myself. Life is too short...

LOL. I'm surprised you didn't find out sooner about the ocean simulator. Every few days some new ocean simulation render surfaces somewhere on the net. Seems to be a staple these days among Blender users.
