I'm a happily married, gothic otaku metalhead with the aspiration of becoming a professional artist one day. I'm not very active on here anymore, but I can't seem to leave this place. It holds a lot of memories for me.
I do hope to eventually become as active as I was when I first came here and to rebuild a base of good buddies like I had. Probably become more inspired, and all in the process. ^_^I consider myself most skilled at portraits. However, anime-style work is the higher passion. As you can see in my gallery, I have a lot of fan art. Now and days, though, I draw mostly original stuff, or just whatever comes out on paper. lol I also enjoy making perler bead sprites and keychains!!! They're very fun.

Sorry for the late reply! lol Things have been fine! Everything has pretty much been work and sleep, while trying to fit art in where I can. lol Had a pretty awesome concert experience back in December, though, that prompted me to finally start guitar lessons, so that's a thing now as well. It's going... slowly... lol How have you been? Do you still do art these days? It really has been a while.... lol!

I wasn't too good myself, but it's nice that we can all improve over time!!! Lol. It's been difficult for me to get back into the fandom like I used to, because I've been so into my own original stuff. But it would be nice to take a break from that and do some fanwork. Maybe even some redraws. I always like seeing people's redraws.

Same here! Trying to get back into the fanart and fanfiction haha. Well, I didn't really try actually, I just sort of got caught up with it again. It's not been helping with my thesis writing at all haha. I'm also investing in a Tumblr for a Super 17 fic that nobody cares about xD Anyway, it's great to hear from you too, I'll try and be more active around here and maybe I'll upload something if it's not terrible! Gosh, what I hated most about college was that I always had this intense desire to write and draw when I needed to focus on exams and all of the work I procrastinated on. XD Best of luck to you and your thesis. ^_^
I've thought about doing Tumblr. Might start posting fan art on there too, when I become a regular poster person again. Maybe. ^.^;;; I'm getting a lot of stuff drawn, but it takes my sweet time to get anything colored because I prefer coloring digitally, and I don't always have that kind of access to my computer. ;.; Anyhoo, great hearing from you too!!!

You should definitely post art there too! I'm more active over there so it would be a better way to keep up with your stuff. You know, I used to prefer colouring digitally but then I went back to pencils, for some reason. Maybe because I no longer have Photoshop...

I managed to get some Prismacolor Markers a few years back. I love them to death, but suck at blending them. lol I've really been interested in watercolor pencils and getting into acrylics at some point too. X3

I just handed in my thesis a few days ago and have a couple of weeks off, so I've been drawing and writing away. So good!

I just invested in some Prismacolor pencils, I hear so many good things about them. Will try the markers eventually! Watercolour pencils also look amazing, but I was never good at watercolours hahaha
