# About me
ABOUT THE ARTISTHer full name is Justyna Gaja (1981). As a child, she used to say to everybody that she would be a painter. When she was 14 years old she started her studies at the High School of Fine Arts in Poznań (Poland). There, she explored all the secrets of the art and also mastered many techniques in the visual arts. She graduated successfully in 2001 and became an artist. Then she went to The University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań to study the history of art. She graduated in 2008 and achieved the Master's Degree in the History of Art. Currently she lives in the Netherlands.
ARTWORK
Just Gaja prefers using oil and acrylic techniques. The artist can find herself in many topics, but she loves to paint landscapes (mostly en plein air), flowers and people (also portraits). Paintings of Just Gaja are full of color, light and life. She puts all her heart, brains and soul in painting. She prefers to do freelance work but she also paints on commission.
Her paintings can be found in private collections in Poland, The Netherlands, Germany and USA.
HISTORY OF ART
Justyna Gaja as an art historian has a deep knowledge of general art history from antient to modern times. She spend her last years of university studies on scientific research into the Dutch and Flemish art from the 16th through the 18th century. She conducted her thesis research partially in the Netherlands. She came to the Netherlands to learn Dutch language because she wanted to study the old Dutch documents about this subject by herself. She has given her diploma thesis a following title: Flower without scent. Pictoral matters with regard to the symbolic function of the tulip in the Netherlandish - Flemish still life floral paintings 1600 - 1750.
Art (in each form and content) is the biggest passion of her life.

I have just looked at your Exto gallery. Absolutely love the more 'free style' impasto landscapes. Beautiful.
