Stretching slightly after having gotten through a few enemies that had certain weapons that resembled HYDRA tech. It was quite a mystery how they were rebuilding themselves so fast, but then again, perhaps there was more of HYDRA around the world than he had first assumed. But now, having as the tabloids said; 'saved the day', Steve removed his Cap mask and wiped his forehead of the sweat he'd managed to work up. Now that SHIELD was gone and the Avengers were a unknown source, he took up crime-fighting wherever he saw it, which had been a lot lately. Even as he went cross country, in search of his long lost friend, he still ran into it. In a distance between Meteropolis and Gotham, he ran into HYDRA.
As he smiled politely to the press, giving the; 'no need to thank me, I'm just doing the duty that is my job as Captain America.' This roared up a storm for all involved, he managed to slip away before the fans could reach him or the media could try and quote him on anything else. He wasn't quite a huge fan of being in headlines so much anymore, because he knew just how quickly they could turn on someone. And once he was out of sight, he assumed no one would find him- then a boy in a familiar costume appeared before him; "Oh- you're, Robin boy wonder, correct?" Slinging his shield onto his back's harness, he smiled and nodded in acknowledgement. "It's a great honor to meet you." 
I think grandpa Howard has a nice ring to it.
