awww D=. It's because Canada has so few golds.. •.•
We suck, hahaa. Australia is a bit more than half our size, population wise, but they have about 3 times the medals TT ^ TT
And China is probably still doing well....because of table tennis! When I went to China (in grade 3), they had Table Tennis tables in the parks!!
envious

Caprilla In reply to K-van [2008-08-21 03:24:31 +0000 UTC]
D: That's because they actually train their people, where we just randomly select people from other countries because of our multi-culturalism.
That's so creepy. xD Wouldn't it just be really easy to steal a table?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
K-van In reply to Caprilla [2008-08-22 03:11:53 +0000 UTC]
hahaaa... I think the tables are stuck to the ground!!
And supposedly the Australian swimming director was a Canadian that wanted to become an Olympic Committee member in Canada, but got rejected. So instead he went to Australia, and now their swimming team is really good. xD
And I think the US has got a winning formula . They steal all the best and brightest from other countries, and assimilate them into their country. Hence, all their table tennis athletes are Chinese xD.

Caprilla In reply to K-van [2008-08-22 04:10:47 +0000 UTC]
That's so asian. D: I think we have a ping-pong club at our school. My grade 9 science teacher was in charge, and we asked him if he was in charge of the ping pong club, and he said "No, it's the TABLE TENNIS TEAM." Ping pong isn't manly enough of a name, apparently. xD
That's...really sad. xD I was watching woman's diving today (we got silver! <3) and they showed a clip of the chinese diver who got 3rd, and I totally thought that she was a guy. D: It was really confusing ;__; Plus, their divers are supposed to be like, 16, but they look a lot younger. >_>;
The US still pisses me off because they sent in a gymnast with a PINK OUTFIT. It's not even one of their flag colours! D: How was I supposed to know what country she was from? >_> (I thought she was from some European country)
You are like, my Olympic nerd friend. D:

Hahaa, I guess they need all the help they can get to make 'table tennis' the game of men (disturbing mental image of huge, muscular, hairy men)
And yes, supposedly there's an obsession in China with androgyny! A few guys I've seen look like girls, and there was this Supergirl contestant, Li Yu Chun, that looks like a guy!! (and sounds like one!!)
And I dunno why the US team didn't have a unified costume....meh!
nerding is fun when you do it together! ^^
(note the 8 word phrase! Ok, that was unintentional)

Ewwww D: I always found like, super buff men to be really really creepy. All the flexing and the creepy muscles and the sweaty armpits...
ew. ;__;
It might be an Asian thing, because a lot of Japanese anime make you wonder whether or not the character's a boy or a girl. D: You have to look for things like boobs or manly necks or other things like that D: Alice and I usually find pictures and creep each other out with them. xD
It could have been so much cooler if they did. D: It's like a superhero team to the rescue!
xD You're pretty much the only person I can ramble about olympics without someone getting annoyed at me. xD

Hmm...it's really fun to talk to you! You're interesting , unlike most of the other people that I chat with. They're so shallow/one-track minded.

it's so....mundane. xD

I'm not really that fun. D: I keep going over the same stories over and over again, apparently. >_> And I'm the kind of person that, if you don't know me, then you'll think that I'm a hermit/quiet nerd.
One guy described meeting me as "Oh crap, I have to sit next to an art person? They're all creepy! Hopefully she won't talk to me and she'll just sit there and draw everyday. And then you started talking to me, and you weren't weird at all. THIS HAS TURNED MY WORLD UPSIDE DOWN."
aw, you like someone? That's so cute! <3
My guy friends don't talk about that stuff at all. D: They're kinda boring sometimes. ;__;
haha, behemoths. xD It's like that Wonderland ride! I'm surprised that I didn't get dragged to Wonderland this year. But I guess I've been excused because I'm going to two places in one summer. D:

whoa, my page is beginning to look like an essay board. I wonder what happens when you get SO many replies that the threading doesn't fit anymore >= D. I want to try!
And yes, talking to Sonia's Unionville friends was a wholly disturbing experience.
And incidentally, I always said 'no' to those "do you like anyone" questions. Which was probably why those conversations were so short. Gossip mongerers are efficient!
And eugh. Going to wonderland was horrible. I got dragged onto all the scary rides I previously avoided =.=

I don't think I've ever written comments this long. D:
Really? xD We're not that creepy, are we? It might just be the art kids; the art kids are pretty weird in a lot of ways. xD
I'm sure they knew, I mean thought you were lying. ;D
That happened the first time with me. I refused to go on any of the bigger ones. D: But they took me on a lot of the lesser ones to add up to the bigger ones. xD I still didn't do the massive upside-down ones though.
But I found out that it's really hard for me to scream on rides. D: I think I tried a bunch of times and it only worked once.

hey! I was being honest D=
You know that when you get talked to more before projects and/or tests, as opposed to social events, that you have no chance . Being typecast as an easily manipulated dork really puts a damper on your quest to find a significant other >__>. So I give up
And eugh. I just keep my eyes closed and hope it finishes quickly. They just had to tell me all sorts of horror stories about people getting amputated, decapitated, etc. on roller coaster rides *before* I went on =.=. Life is a cruel mistress.
Nearly complete page carpeting!

At least that means you're a ner- I mean very bright. 8D I'm sure there are girls who are crazy for easily manipulated dorks. xD Mostly anime fan-girls, but you never know! If studious nerds can get girls, I'm sure most people can. xD
Your friends must love you so much. xD I hate hearing about how people get like, amputated. It's just...kinda creepy. D: I don't like looking at...bloody and gushy things. D; It's just kinda creepy. I can usually stand them only for a little while for like, reading manga purposes, but that's when you can flip the page soon. 8D
I should catch up on some manga.

Wow thanks. I'm glad I'm appealing to the japanophile demographic. xP
And I think the number of girls that are crazy for easily manipulated dorks numbers somewhere in the single digits (somewhere between -1 and 1)
Ugh. I had never watched an R rated movie in my life until I got conned into sneaking into the theatre to watch 'Wanted' O.o! So much blood and gore, it felt horrible ><
And yes, manga is much nicer (because it's usually black and white, haha)
Dismemberment and bloody mutilation is bearable when you don't see red spurting everywhere •.•

Lawl. 8D There's still hope. (The crazy ones might get you any minute.)
Oh ew. I watched part of one, but it was so nasty that I ran away. D; Like, preggie alien splurting out of bellies. ;__;
I know! I hate any sort of like, stabbing. D: It's just kinda nasty.

K-van In reply to Caprilla [2008-08-29 02:57:37 +0000 UTC]
crazy ones eh... I'll get my tinfoil hat out immediately!
And eww....that's disgusting O.o
That would rank up there with "Miracle of Life" and this Biology video featuring poop coming out of a Rhino's butt in my list of scarring things to see
And after hurting myself so much, I'm sort of used to blood. Just not... the icky extreme violence stuff! I think I shrieked once (in a movie theatre =. at the beginning of this scary movie I got conned into seeing. (it was only PG-13 too).
Needless to say, I'm never seeing another scary movie ever again D =<

Lawl. 8D Go go go!
xD! Our sci teacher was really excited about "Miracle of Life", sadly enough. He kept talking to us about how it's so awesome how life is created, etc. >___>
I can deal with like, my own cuts, but not like gashing and oozing kinds of bleeding. Also, that's kinda sad. D; What happened to the manliness you were attempting? xD
The most scarring movie I watched was like, some movie were kids were turned into rats. Srsly. D: I was like, 8. And then Anacondas was pretty bad too. SAme with Carrie. >__> I think I had nightmares about that one.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
K-van In reply to Caprilla [2008-09-01 05:11:13 +0000 UTC]
ugh. Miracle of Life... the only thing I remember is that light at the end of the tunnel, and the baby's head bursting out of the... very suddenly O.o. Looks painful (shiver)
And ugh =.=. I was just unprepared. It was at the beginning of the movie, where you wouldn't expect anything scary to happen, and the main character is recounting how she narrowly escaped with her life from a previous encounter with a serial killer, while opening a mirrored cabinet to eat some antidepressants. And when she closes the door, all of a sudden, you see a face staring at her in the reflection O___o (it turns out to be her mom). But whoa, that nearly gave me a heart attack D=
And rest assured, that was a very manly shriek. Plus, I'm sure I heard other, quieter gasps of fear in the theatre... and some laughing. It turns out that it was supposedly a very not-scary movie! I ended up getting really freaked out walking home, because when cars drive by, the headlights make it seem as if your shadow is a person sneaking up to you O.o. There was also this eerie rustling in the bushes along the sidewalk, and these people drove by while screaming out their window •.•.
><
And ugh, Carrie. I looked up the Wikipedia summary on it, and the cover picture was enough to freak me out D;. The story is a little tear-jerking though, until you get to the pigs blood and the murderous rampage... Movies like Saw, which supposedly involves cooking people alive, will probably give me nightmares for years. xD (I still cover my neck with my blanket when I go to bed, for fear of vampires... and I just looked over my shoulder fearfully when I typed that word xP)
But yes, scary movies are definitely exciting while your watching it, it's just the aftermath that isn't so fun, hahaaa

I couldn't believe a lady actually let people film her baby coming out of her uterus. D: It actually wasn't as bad as I thought though...just a little creepy.
...fail. D:
-Manly- shriek? xD I don't think that's possible. And I'm sure they were laughing at your manly shriek ;D I think Anacondas and Carrie made me do that. D: And I'm already a light sleeper. >_>
I just don't like scary movies in general. D: I'd rather watch cheesy chick flicks than scary movies. >____>
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
K-van In reply to Caprilla [2008-09-01 19:05:28 +0000 UTC]
It wasn't that bad?!? It was horrible D= (fear). Hahaa, I feel bad for females now
And yes, a manly shriek is definitely possible (how would you know if you've never heard one!)
Oooh, I watched Anacondas before I think. It was a little fake to me (no screams of fear), so I guess we know who's the more cowardly one now!! >;D
Hmm...the only cheesy chick flick I've ever watched was legally blonde, and that nearly made me vomit.

You're just a guy; it happens. xD And yes, you people don't have to go through the pains of giving birth. D:
We'll see about that. xD
I don't scream, period. xD I just make jolts in my seat. And I'm uneasy around snakes in general, so a movie about giant man-eating snakes wasn't such a good idea. And I was kinda sad when the asian guy died; I thought he was hot >:
Oh em gee! That movie's so funny though! You should watch 27 dresses; it was such a good movie. <3

K-van In reply to Caprilla [2008-09-01 23:29:19 +0000 UTC]
well, on the other hand, guys would probably suffer a little more from a direct kick between the legs!
But yeah, it's probably true that girls get the short end of the stick (sucker ^^)
Hmm, you do seem like a very twitchy person to me (*cough* pokes *cough*)
And hahaa, maybe the 'hot' asian guy was the only reason you watched the movie in the first place ... it seemed pretty bad to me. I felt bad for the dark skinned guy who I think got eaten in the hut after he was back stabbed though. xD
Incidentally, the only reason I watched the Forbidden Kingdom was because the female lead is gorgeous =3... it's a pity that had to add a white guy D:
And wow, 27 dresses sounds like it has a really convoluted plot. xD The Wikipedia summary is HUGE!

I didn't even know that they had a hot asian guy in the cast. xD And yeah, I felt really sorry for that guy too. >: It was also really creepy when they saw the cut open anaconda with the dead person in it. D: D: D:
xD Fail.
But it's sooo good! <3 watch it watch it watch it!

I can see why it's scary... I sort of prefer the stork delivery service explanation over the real deal. xD
Heheee, all's fair in love and war supposedly . And that was definitely war! Although rather one-sided war, and more of me taking advantage of your weird twitch reaction ^^
Ugh, that cut open anaconda reminds me of our fetal pig dissection in Biology D=. I volunteered to be the person to write all the stuff down and make the diagrams though, so I didn't have to rip apart the ribcage and entrails of a cold dead unborn pig TT ^ TT. One of my partners went a little overboard though, squishing the brain, and pretending that the heart was the heart of 'Davy Jones'. xD
Hahaaa, I guess if you say it three times you really mean it . I'm downloading it right now, although I'm sort of curious what a 'good' chick flick is like.

That was cheap. D: I didn't even do anything to you.
xD That was actually really fun. I never did a lot of the cutting, but I did a lot of the poking around and pointing at things. And then we cut open the head and took out the eye and stuff. It was so creepy though. I heard in life sciences in uni, that they have to dissect baby kittens. D:
-cries-
Of course! <3 It's a pretty good story, except for being obvious at some points, but yeah! 8D

hahaa, quite fortunately I've never had to hear the birds and the bees conversation! I remember when I was little, I was in the Ontario Science Center, and listening to those phone displays on how sexual reproduction occurs. And then I asked my mom how the male gamete manages to get to the female gamete in someone else's body. xD
She gave me such a evil glare D=. I was just a confused little kid too ><.
And yes, poking you is therapeutic . It's a good way to vent anger ^^
Oohh, supposedly you dissect cadavers too as you get higher up too! But baby kittens are definitely not much lower on the politically incorrect scale. xD
Hehee, downloaded now, will definitely watch late at night. xD
