To win, nominees must pass through two phases – nominations and voting. Each category comes with a maximum number of ballot slots. The nominees with the most nominations will get those slots, and pass through to the voting stage. Once the voting has begun, it’s completely up to the public vote.

So what will winners receive? In addition to bragging rights, winners will receive a gift basket (including a signed item from Melissa Marr, a popular Young Adult book, and other Wicked Lovely goodies) and a chance to win an iPod Shuffle. Winners and their work will also be featured on WickedLovely.com throughout the year.
