# About me
Biography
~
Originally from Northern California, I now live in the beautiful, albeit cold and soggy, Pacific Northwest. My passion for art started at a ripe young age like everyone else's, but was immediately combined with a near equal appetite for books. It wasn't until I was 11, and finally old enough to understand that animated movies weren't real but were instead a plausible career option combining both of my loves, that I knew I couldn't do anything else.
Prior to college, I was largely self-taught, devouring books on animation and experimenting on wintery nights with a light table my dad assembled for me in the garage. Formal training began when I was 16, and I tried everything from Animation and Writing, to Painting and Digital Art/Graphic Design, ultimately finding my niche in Storyboard Art. I graduated in 2008 with a degree in Game Art and Design, specializing in what I found to be the perfect blend of my two passions--Visual Storytelling.
Most artists classify themselves by their favored medium; I consider myself a storyteller. My goal in art has always been to give people that same feeling I used to have leaving a theatre after the latest Disney film--goosebumps of joy at something magical, an escape from everyday life, and a momentary pause to savor good entertainment.
I founded Nightwolf A.D.E. (Art, Design & Editing) in 2011, and am currently the Lead Artist for this freelance based company. We offer a range of services, from freelance Writing & Editing, to Graphic Design, Illustration, and of course, Animation. Currently my Animation abilities are restricted to the traditional style, but I am hoping to expand into 3D soon. I am open for commissions, (prices listed below), so if you see something in my galleries you find interesting, please contact me. I can be reached at kisa.whipkey@gmail.com.

Thank you so much! I don't have much of my own work up yet, but I'm hoping to fix that soon, if I ever have more than two seconds off work. ;/ Anyway, thanks for stopping by, for the llama and the watch. I really appreciate it.

I'm replying to your post [link] here because a mod locked my thread.
Currently, we don't have a critique forum, we have a critique thread.
The difference between a forum and a thread is that a forum is the place where you post threads. For example, the Literature Forum, or the Complaints Forum, or the Help With life Forum. The threads are the links you click on in the forum--the topics of conversations.
What we have right now is one thread for everyone to post in.
What I am asking for is that we have a literature workshop forum, so that way we can be more organized and different people can start their own different threads, instead of being forced in to everyone using the same shitty one we have now.

Ok, I think I see the difference now. Thanks for explaining it. I agree that it would probably be useful to a great many people. I hope they take your suggestion.

Where do you have them posted? I'll be happy to check them out. And sometimes you just need a break from a project. If you're writing other things, then you're still working. You'll return to your main project eventually. When you're ready.

(I'm replying to you here because my thread has been closed it's about that race thingy)
I was indeed focused onto making them look more like 'things' than humans, although, with some traits and yes, I'm not going to include everything about them in the novel (the wars wont even be mentioned for example, I thought that it would be a nice detail)
I just don't feel about non-human races like humans, but with a ton of magical stuff... I guess there are things that are evil; in my story, there is one race that is pretty violent and so to say evil, but it is a predator and ment to be like that, they are just misunderstood, not evil... well, most of them are, but who cares XD
thanks for the advice

Cool. Sorry, Facebook's been a little buggy for me today. It keeps kicking me out after only a few seconds. Super annoying and probably stemming from the internet issues I've been having all week. Glad you got it though! Most of those comments are null and void now, but it at least will let you see how I work.

I would rather not give out the entire thing for free since I am selling copies myself as well as their being available on www.samsdotpublishing.com. I do have three excerpts on my page you could show him and he can google me if he wishes to see it for himself. Use my maiden name of Kisa Rupp and it'll come up. I got married last October so Whipkey is my new name. If that doesn't satisfy him we can discuss something else via note or email.

I was wondering what if I gave Gorval a different title. Maybe Gorval the Wolf Seeker of Darkness?

KWhipkey In reply to Knightrider5050 [2011-06-30 17:13:24 +0000 UTC]
I'll keep that in mind when I work on editing it. What purpose would giving him a new title serve though? Does it somehow explain why he's different? Because the only reason to add something like that would be if it somehow benefits the story--ties into the plotline somehow or explains something about his character. Otherwise, you probably wouldn't need it.

well his family is originaly called the Black and Red Wolf Seekers because of their jet black and crimson markins. Not all wolf seekers have the normal wolf fur color like Shargia she is white but she its like that snow white no other colors are in her fur like when you look at other white wolves and you can see maybe a hint of tan or something. I've always liked the Black and Red Wolf Seeker because thats what he has always been called even my friend who know he's a wolf seeker called him that before coming up with the name. Its one of those things that just kind of stuck

KWhipkey In reply to Knightrider5050 [2011-06-30 17:52:49 +0000 UTC]
Well then I guess the question to ask would be, is he still operating as part of that family, or has he broken away with his own agenda? Because if he's working on his own, then having his own title would make senss. If he's still part of the Black and Red Wolf Seekers and is simply like their leader, then having his own designation probably wouldn't help...

Knightrider5050 In reply to KWhipkey [2011-06-30 19:16:31 +0000 UTC]
Well being a wolf seeker is kind of like passing down a grown, their living collar is like a crown for them (execpt it keeps then alive its their life source. They pass it down through the generations. The collar can only talk to them its like telepathy. They aslo feel whatever it is that the collar feels like if it was to get pinched the wolf seeker would respond to it like it was a pinch. The collar is hard like the worlds precious materials, but in side of it is living tissue. It should only be taken off once the next generation is ready. if you take it off any other time it can seriously injuir or kill the wolf.
Here is kind of sum of how Gorval became a loner in his own kind. He and his dad were the only Black and Red Wolf Seekers left the others had died of because of old age (wolf seekers can grow old as 100, some can get older then that depending on the type of wolf seeker) He saw his father as a threat for what he was wanting to do with the White Wolf Seekers and the James family, because once Gorval got those two out of the way winning the war for himself would be easy. Ok so he say his father as a threat and he decided that by killing his wife and pups he could make it look like Amaranth did it and have his father go after her. Gorval knew that a wolf seeker without their collar could not take on a wolf seeker with their own collar and win. Once you pass it down you powers kind of fade away. So Gorval killed his mate and pups made it to look like Amaranth did it. As he thought his father did go after Amaranth and he did lose. She didn't kill him she dropped him off at the nearest shore line (remember White Wolf Seekers live with pirates, the James Family are pirates so yeah) and Gorval saw that with his dad now literally torn to shreds he could go in and make an easy kill, making him the only Black and Red Wolf Seeker. The reason for this is because he wanted to not have interferience with his dad
