When you said you scanned the lineart.
Doesnt it just become a 'background' so your cant really put layers underneath it :/
I've been stayin over my sis's place so i don't have access to Megaten T.T. Around next week il be back on usually around 8 onwards. How about you?

I manipulate the background so i can paint underneath. I click 2 times on background[you can apply this to photoshop or opencanvas, for other software i don't know] so it becomes a layer. Then I put the layer in multiply mode and create layer underneath on which i apply color. If it's still unclear to you, i will send you link to tutorial.
I am usually from 9pm your time on megaten, well most of the time. Unfortunately not lately sine no one is there T,T

Ok, if i use A4 paper, They are usually taking 2/3 of paper, so I can see what I am coloring. I scan at resolution of 300 dpi even tho some artist prefer 600, but that is way too big for my pc.

D: really the dpi affects how big they are. I've always had that part really low since i didn't want it to be a big file to slow my comp down.
