I know!!!! Kodansha was trying to push a new copyright thing on him that would come down hard on doujinshi, and that's how he made his living when he was young, so I understand why he did it, but they never revealed what happened to Filius! And he makes us fanfic writers sad when he doesn't explain the hints he gives us, because he puts limitations that we can't escape with one or two comments...like when Al shushed Nagi when he was going to protest Zect being dead, or when Al said he couldn't "materalize" on that side very well either. Does that mean we've NEVEr seen Al's real body? IS Zect a vampire, or what? Damn it Akamatsu!!!!

I'm really frustated!!!!!! Sure I can make up a lot of solutions in my head for what happened with him, but that's not the same as actually knowing 100 %
But about Filius, I sort of belived he was one of the demon guys, you know like Zazie, considering he has white hair and powerful magic and stuff (I think it was Jack who said something like: "I would've thought that the old demon wouldn't die no matter how many times you kill him") And about Al, I would think that he's like Jack, you know, from Mars :3, so yeah, the body we have seen, might just be a hologram or something, I dont actually know ^^'

ARGH AKAMATSU HOW COULD YOU????? when he said he couldn't materialize, he implied he couldn't do it very well on Mars either....WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN??? ARE WE EVER GOING TO KNOW???? I think he was a demon to, because of Jack's youkai comment and how he's centuries old. The Magic World is relatively new, and Al is older than Eva, so maybe he's odler than it? Who knows...not us, that's for sure...
Al wasn't even created by Akamatsu, he was designed by Ran Ayanaga, creater of Read or Die...

Yeah I know :3 Filius, as well, was created by her, THANK YOU SO MUCH RAN AYANGA FOR GIVING US THOSE WONDERFUL CHARACTERS, which fate will never be revealed to us ;_____;
this is making me depressing again...
But about that with Filius being centuries old, I dont think it was Filius who "said it". You see, my theori is that Filius was taken over by the Mage of Beginning and that Nagi knew this, and because of this protested about Filius being dead! And that's why we saw him later in Fates memories!! But then Nagi did something wierd and was taken over himselves by the mage of beginning and that's why Nagi appeared in the last battle between Negi and Cosmo Entelecheia!!! and then Negi did something fancy and freed his father from this!!!!
But this theori will never be confirmed or anything BECAUSE OF THAT DAMN AKAMATSU!!!!!
I'm ready to die any time now ;____;

No prob, its always nice talking to someone who like the same characters as your self~
but if Filius is immortal, then why didn't he show up at the end with the rest of the Ala Rubra, beacause if its possible to be freed from the Mage of the Beginning (like Nagi was), then why haven't we seen him by now...? Sure he might be hiding or something, but that I doubt.... Though he might be staying back on mars...
*sigh*
in a moment I really thought Filius Zecht was The master of the Gravekeeper's palace, wich would fit really well considering his "friendship" with the Rainydays...

Maybe when Nagi's body was stolen by the Mage Filius's was destroyed? I thought he was too, but now I think that was Asuna's mother (there was that weird line of dialogue where she goes "I'm your mother's..." and he goes "You're Asuna's...". Filius has a friendship with the Rainydays? I hope he's not dead...sigh...

I would be really happy if he showed up alive (you can't imagine how I reacted when I read the newest chapter with filius, even though he was sort of taken over, BUT HE WAS (sort of) ALIVE!!!!
But if his body was destroyed I dont know what to do, I mean, he's so damn cute, you can't just destroy a body that cute!!!!
What I mean is, that if Filius was a demon like zazie aaand he was The master of the Gravekeepers palace, that would fit really well with what The master of the Gravekeepers palace said about Poyo being an old friend (or something)
But yeah, akamatsu managed to destroy my little hope by making The master of the Gravekeeper's palace a "her", and related to Asune, though mabye she was her grandmother or her grand- grand mother, I dont know, or perhaps just a friend of the royal family.
But thats another thing we would never know ;___;
But why would negi know who Asunas mother or grand mother looks like?

IF they managed to save Nagi why couldn't they save Filius? ARGH!!!! AKAMATSU!!!! I was so happy I was in shock. I remember walking into school the next day, sitting down, turning to my BFF and sayinf flatly, "OH, by the way, Filius Zecht is evil." And then walking away. She was like WTF???? NOOOO!!!!

Now that time has passed I've obvviously realized that he's been taken over XP lol Why Akamatsu...why. They both even have the circles on their faces!!!! Why cant you make up your mind???????

I don't know why negi knows ANYTHING, really. He's way too smart for a ten year old. I was rooting for Rakan throughout their entire battle (conclusion: best shonen battle EVER)! XD

Have you ever read Love Hina, Akamatsu's previous work? Because I think Kaolla Su is a Hellas Princess in hiding. I also think Motoko's sister married Eishun. IF you haven't, then ignore that. XP

I was extremely happy as well, you know the end of the chapter where we see Filius again on a loooong time, my reaction was like: OMGOMGOMGOGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOGMGOMGOGMGOGMGOGMGOGMGGOMGGG
So true!!! What I think is that Akamatsu first made Filius The master of the gravekeeper palace, beacause the master looked A LOT like Filius at the first glance, but then he decided that it didn't fir with the story, or something like that..., and then he made that chapter with Filius being taked over afterwards....
I've read Love Hina yeah , I read it even before Negima x)
But yeah, that would've make sense, sort of, hehe :3~

I think you're probably right. I thoguht it was either Filius or maybe Chao, and then Akamatsu was like "eh, nah" and changed it...but I like filius being dead better than Filius being evil.

Akamatsu tease us beacause he has a veeeery bad sense of humor, but most likely its something advanced like his contract or something went out, or I dont know...
Thats just too sad ;____;, Filius is the cutest, most adorable, coolest and strongest character which really deserve some more screen time!!!!!

I'm sure he is grown up, but I would LIKE to see hi grown up...XP He was so cool...I understand why Akamatsu ended the series, but I wish he hadn't. It was his way to allow doujinshi artists to continue to draw, though, so I commend him for that.

Filius's cute count is OVER 9000!!!!!!! Argh, he's so adorable it burns...

I've been tempted to write akamtsu too! I don't know if he reads English...Ala Rubra the manga...the passion I feel for this BURNS!!!!
