tnx, that means a lot, I'm new to the trade and love your machine paintjobs and bases, I never made grassy/dirt bases(well none that I tried to look so realistic and detailed as the one u have on that jeep) so I'll be sure to ask you for some guidelines when I try it out.

you are welcome and i would of never know you are new to it. thanks again, i have been slowly improving my paint work.

feel free to ask away, i might be able to give some tips. the jeeps base was really easy and i use very cheap, can be found easy products.

Hey, I was wondering, you said you used easy to find products for the dirt/mud base on the "Taste of Armageddon" display..could you maybe help me out, I'm trying to make something like that, I found some stuff to make puddles but can't get the dirt to look that good, could you tell me how you made the dirt?

i built it awhile ago, so my memory is kinda fuzzy but i believe this is what i used:

the dirt is a mix of real dirt from around my area, that i collected and dryed out. i used thinned out white glue brushed on to the base to afix it, them added more dirt and use an eye dropper to add thinned glue on top. i might of used art pastels dust to change the colors a bit as well. the rocks are real rocks(i added tiny ones in my dirt mix too) and the road was made using plaster of paris. not sure where the grass/plant stuff came from but i am assuming it came from a florist shop of some sort.

ohhh and here is a tutorial from a friend with a different but just as cheap method( i have done this before with great results as well)  devilsreject493.deviantart.com…   devilsreject493.deviantart.com…
