# About me
I am a watercolor artist from rural Illinois. My work is highly realistic and detailed, and I specialize in portraits and still life. I love to paint anything that is shiny and complicated, and I try to take watercolor as far as it can go. I was a high school art teacher for 17 years, and I have been a professional painter since 2010. During this time I have had three solo exhibitions, became a signature member of the Illinois Watercolor Society, and even struck up a friendship with the late, great Roger Ebert, who spotted one of his books in a portrait of mine.# Comments
