Aw yay! Β Thanks! Β She's definitely my main OC. Β I have a few others, but she was my original ponysona, and if anyone were to draw me ponified, I'd want them to use Aria. (like an out of character picture for Aria that might suit my personality for example)

For me the 'OC most like me' is actually two OCs, Kyra and River. If you combined the two you would get me. It is kind of like how you have Pinkie Pie and Pinkamena, the two extremes of one full personality. I gave the characters my eye color and three of the five hair colors I have had (My hair has been Β dark brown, blonde, red, pink and dark purple. Kyra and River are both blonde, but Kyra dyes her hair pink and River dyes it dark purple)

I see. Β For me (kind of like your characters) Aria was never really supposed to be a full character, but more just kind of a persona and a pony representation of myself, and in some ways I live vicariously through her. Β My life's aspiration is to sing for an opera company, and she already does that. Β I think we put a little of ourselves into all our characters really, though.

Each of my characters is a part of me in a way. Some have my stubbornness, some have my want for perfection(which I usually ignore), some have that spark of awesome. Actually, my Aria and her brother Drake were only supposed to be in one picture as a "future children of my characters who are also sort of an mlp reference", but now they are the main focus of my story.

Yeah, that's what I mean. Β I don't think a single one of my characters is just a creation of randomness. Β They're either based off of someone I knew or end up adopting traits of my own.

I guess it's the whole having a creative mind thing. Β Especially if you like to write as well. Β Like I was working on a story, and I ended up killing off a character I loved, and all my friends were asking me why I did it, and my response was "I don't write stories. Β They write themselves in my head, and I just jot them down."

I do the same thing. I try to tell them that once I get basics down, characters become their own thing. Sometimes they just come from nowhere with enough to keep on as a character, not just a necessary person for one scene.
I try to explain this, especially when explaining why I have an Angel named Lucifer...

Yeah, I understand that totally. Β For example, I had a character I identified with for a long time that I never wrote about or anything, but she existed in my head. Β She didn't have a name or anything. Β I just called her "the princess," and after several months, I realized she was like four years old. Β It was the weirdest thing.
