Beautiful artwork! Would you have happened to have gone to the reptile super show in southern California? There were many crested gecko breeders out there today! I couldn't remember your website so I couldn't refer anyone to you (that and I probably would have bought one had you have been there).

Unfortunately at the moment I only do local shows. The only shows I've attended are the IHS reptile sales in Des Moines. :\ I would love to attend Tinley Park sometime, but that's a way in the future kind of deal.

Wonderful artwork! You really have your own style to each of your drawings. Its interesting to see the detail you put into your sketches that really enhance the emotion or feel to them. It adds allot more to the simple anthro artwork found all to often here on DA. Keep it up!!

Gah, your art is sooooo much more roll-worthy than mine! And also, I saw that... Thanks so much, I'll need to try that out. I was frustrating myself over it, because I thought that all I needed was to click the box for "pick up underlying color", but every time I make a light stroke (and at every initial stroke even) the brush picked up white from its own layer... which made no sense.

You know, now that you say that, I think that might be what the problem is. When I work in multiple layers, I assume that they work the same way that photoshop's layers do. If the underlying color of the layer underneath is transparent, photoshop's anti-aliasing feature fades into the transparency. But in painter, you could have a thousand transparent layers, and if one somewhere underneath has a color on it, it's going to pick up that color. Painter is bizarre sometimes, and you're right, it gets frustrating trying to get it to bend to your will
