It's good but maybe starting out with something a bit more basic than a shield would be good. If one is completely new to energy they should first get a feel for the energy and be able to bend it to their will. A good way to make sure they ARE getting the energy is to work with a pinwheel paper which involves vague kinesis.

I'm doing good, just woke up from a pretty interesting string of dreams, which is cool because I just got a dreamers almanac. As for learning anything new I've been picking out what else I want to look into but so far crystals call out to me the most.
