Thanks. I wouldn't call them wannabes of course, I just use the term amateur. Course go to a modern art museum and see the stuff that passes for "professional" and you'll be longing for "amateur" stuff again. I see pretty good stuff like this from an "amateur":

I agree with you on that point. hehe
But I guess it's not "normal" people that decide what's hot or not. Intellectuals (or people wanting to be) with influential has the upper hand, just look at the Nobel price in literature, most price winning authors are unheard of - picked out by people that wants to choose something that isn't easy to grasp, otherwise it would make them look bad.

Good choice of word; amateur, but I want to be.
