First of all, thx for the comment on my devilbringer!
of course I can tell you, doesn't mean that it will work out *laugh*
but I bet you'll manage it.
Actually, the basis is a bridal glove, you know, one of these long ones.
The horn tiles I made of thin foamplates, sterdy but flexible; the thorns and the ellbow are made of the same way, carved out of foam.
the claws are fake nails, filled with foam also.
I fixed the foamtiles and stuff with a auperglue on the glow and covered the whole arm qith liquid latex, up to five layers; the wrist I had to stabilise more, 'cause it's the most stressed part of the arm while taking it on or off.
for the effect of a scaly demonskin I used some sand, originaly thought for decoration.
And then painted it. Thats basically it- everthing you need it time and patience! these were the most important things.
and a little knowledge of the stuff youo were working with ^^

I just broke my head over it which materials to use, 'cause I have seen a lot devilbringers already that did not hit my taste...
They did not look good or they weren't movable, so I had to think about materials that are strong and flexible and since I am involved in the medieval section with it's roleplay as well I knew latex already. Most of the weapons and shields were made like this, too, so it was kinda familiar to me- dunno why I had to think so hard *laugh*
Look for latex on ebay- I know it's expensive but on ebay you can get some for a nice price if you have enough time for bidding.
Yeah, I don't know if I can make it in May or October, but I wanna go there this year, haven't been the last... haha, as if there weren't enough conventions here in Germany, but English cons are so much fun and I have some crazy friends I wanna meet again ^^
