Ah I see. Yeah I've also thought about you know doing commissions, but maybe right now I'll just start with doing free art request as you mentioned. I'm going to take your advice for sure man   Thank you!

Haha, I'm still trying to meet more people as well, and I've been around for about 2 months and have more than 40 deviations posted! It's not really easy which is what I meant when I said "roadblocked", you really have to put your best foot forward in order to break through the barrier here and find recognition. It's important to interact with other, successful deviants often, which I probably don't do enough of. Try entering contests, offering free art requests, etc. - all good ways to get your name out there. As for joining groups, you can do that with any group, just click the DA navigator at the top, click groups, and search for something your interested in. Submitting your art to groups is a great way to show it off as well, because your hitting a targeted demographic that way. Join some nintendo/pokemon/mario/zelda groups, for example - and you'll be right at home dropping your art into their folders.

Haha, thank you - I try to do what I can get ahead here and get my art in front of more people, but it's definitely an uphill battle. I don't think I've had too too much success yet, but I just hit 1000 kiriban (page views) which is pretty sweet. Some people get that in a day =-P. I will keep doing my best to climb and get better. Feel free to drop me notes, hellos, and whatever else. I'm open to art trades and the like too, if you need help getting into things more don't be afraid to ask, I know how hard it is!
