# About me
Hi,I'm Kissa and I'm an aspiring artist who lives in Belgium. I make a living as a truck driver, but during my spare time I enjoy drawing in my spare bedroom / studio.
I grew up in a family that's pretty artistic, I still remember the framed drawings my mom made when she was younger just hanging on the wall at our house. Then there's both of my sisters who also have a knack for the arts, my eldest sister in particular who seems to enjoy using paint as her go-to medium. And while my other sister knows her way around pencils and paper, her interests are more of the chisel and hammer type. Myself, I've always enjoyed using pencils the most, although I will occasionally experiment with other mediums like paint and markers.
So the arts has always been a big part of my life in one way or another and my biggest regret is not having invested more time in it during my youth as I was preoccupied with other things.
The artistic bug that's been nesting inside me since birth finally gave me a wake up call about two and a half years ago and I've been practicing ever since whenever I could. Given the type of job that I do and moving to the house that I've bought about a year ago (which needs to be entirely renovated), it isn't always easy to find the time to enjoy my hobby. I had put my hobby on hold for a while to sort out the whole moving business while also getting accustomed to my new job. I used to work a desk job and I made the switch to being a driver about a year and a half ago.
During my job, I discovered a new music band that I really liked so one day in June 2017 I decided I wanted to make a color portrait of the vocalist. The result was so stunning to me that it gave me both an inspirational and motivational boost. It made me want to come out of my hiatus and start enjoying my hobby again on a regular basis, no matter how little time I have. It made me come to a point where I feel confident enough to potentially start a small business venture.
Right now I seem to be focussing on portraits of people and animals, but I'll try other types of pieces in between. I will also try to upload the speedpaint of (some of) my pieces to YouTube, it's always interesting to see a drawing come to life.
So that's a little bit about me, I'll end this post now by saying "Welcome to my page and thank you for your interest!".

Well, you produce really nice work, so I see no reason NOT to watch you
I'm a real fan of animal drawings, especially the realistic ones, so your gallery is a real treat.
Also, most of the things I favorite might be used as a reference at a later point, so this is me saying "Hey, I can learn a thing or 2 from you".
