What about the most recent Master (or... Mistress I should say?)
11 is a pretty fun Doctor, but I love 12 because his scottish accent is plain adorable and his hair is so fuzzy. His actor is so old but he still has that "young" charm about him that I like. He's like a fluffy grumpy 'ol gray owl.

I have to agree with you on the "fluffy grumpy 'ol gray owl" thing. xD And I quite love the new Master/Mistress! It's nice to know that time lords/ladies can regenerate into the opposite gender, and perhaps even into other genders and what not. It paves a path for a whole new set of awesome ideas!
//Because maybe we'll get a female Doctor one day and I'd very much like to see that.

I love Missy/The Master, it's sad that many people hate her on YouTube though. You always have to scroll down the comments and see somebody hate The Master for being a female.
If there was this animated spinoff with anthropomorphic animal-type of Doctor Who characters, or some kid genius came up with the same idea as mine and wrote a script for a spinoff then I would freak out.

Donna, actually. I think RTD is the best at making companions, but his stories were extra cheesy. Steven Moffat is better at making stories, monsters, and villains honestly.

Donna was easily my favorite as well! She was quirky, she had depth, development, she didn't lust after the Doctor and her friendship with him didn't feel forced! //Rose
I'm sorry I just, I really did not enjoy Rose. She is easily one of my most disliked companions.

I don't care about Rose. I don't enjoy Rose either. She was a very cliche character.

Kliniki In reply to Raspykoo [2016-12-15 03:37:59 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, she was. The whole "TenRose" thing felt very forced, and she was just in general a dick. And if anything went wrong, she wouldn't hesitate to blame the Doctor (Though I see most companions do this??? Like, they knew joining the Doctor on his adventures was very dangerous and he usually warns them before hand but yet whenever something bad happens they're like "THIS IS YOUR FAULT!"???)
Anyways... Rose was really just a dick. She treated Micky, her boyfriend, pretty shittily and there were some instances, if I recall correctly, that she even treated her parents like shit. Though I will admit, there was one episode where I enjoyed her, though it's technically not Rose. That one episode that I'm currently forgetting the name of, but it's got the 10th Doctor in it, the 11th, and the War Doctor all in one. "Rose" is Bad Wolf, that sentient all powerful weapon? I actually enjoyed her in that episode even though Bad Wolf technically isn't Rose.

"That one episode that I'm currently forgetting the name of, but it's got the 10th Doctor in it, the 11th, and the War Doctor all in one. "
The Day of The Doctor, the 50th Anniversary special of Doctor Who I think.
And the TenRose thing was forced honestly. Mickey was ignored so much in the series, we can all admit that RTD is terrible at writing companion's boyfriends. Steven Moffat honestly did better with Amy and Rory. Amy payed attention to Rory all of the time when he needed it, even though Rory always roamed away on adventures with himself, often getting in sticky situations. Danny and Clara was okay (but Danny was pretty much just there to make it all emotional, you know? Just a killing target for Moffat in the series finale.) The whole Bad Wolf concept was okay, but it was just to give Rose some "magical charm" to her.
Back on the topic of villains (because I do not like Rose at all one bit) I think Moffat is a LOT better at writing villains and incorporating suspense in his stories. The only two stories where RTD had suspense were Waters of Mars and Midnight. There are many stories that Moffat put suspense into; Dark Water, Blink, Night Terrors, The God Complex, The Pandorica Opens, and many more examples.

Yeah, I found Amy and Rory to be better well written and I actually enjoyed their presence, and I did like Clara and Danny, though I will admit, when 12 was first introduced Clara was kinda ruined for me and I don't like her very much. She turned into a pretty big dick all 'cause 11 didn't turn into a hot young Doctor. Was very disappointed in that. And yeah, I gotta agree with you on Moffat! I found him to be a much better writer and story teller. I think one of my absolute favorite episodes by him is Silence In The Library. I really enjoyed that one, especially because the Vasta Narada are such a cool concept!

Raspykoo In reply to Kliniki [2016-12-16 02:29:15 +0000 UTC]
I can completely agree with you on Clara! Clara in the first full episode 12 was in was just complaining about how 12 was "different" and Jenny and Madame Vastra were trying to explain to her that being different was okay, because Jenny and Vastra are both inter-species lesbians, and that is truly different but they knew that they were still okay with their relationship. Clara didn't care at all about what part of the Paternoster Gang was trying to say apparently.
Amy and Rory probably had the best writing for a couple. Amy's character development was very good, and shown clearly throughout the series. Rory was a good character to go alongside with Amy; he was very brave and supportive of Amy (even though he often wandered off on adventures by himself because of how brave he is.) River was okay, her character development is able to be seen but her timeline is very complicated and hard to understand for some. But I liked it how Steven Moffat was able to connect all of the pieces together to River's timeline, instead of leaving many continuity errors.
Steven Moffat's writing and story telling is very good. All of those episodes I listed are good examples of how he incorporates suspenseful, and dark themes into his episodes. One of these episodes that I like is Dark Water because it is all about death and the afterlife (something that is rather controversial.) and how he addressed that theme of death without showing any blood and violence at all is spectacular on Moffat's part, as most scenes that have themes of death in other TV shows would be highly bloody and emotional. How Moffat placed that theme of the afterlife and connected it back to Missy/The Master is great, too. You wouldn't expect it was Missy behind all of this until 20 minutes into the episode if you didn't read it up online.
Steven Moffat places many cool concepts in his writing: A hotel full of people's biggest fears and phobias. Statues that move when you aren't there. The Master storing those who have died into a database, converting them into cybermen, and then wishing that The Doctor could reunite with her. Putting a story together based on a Greek Mythology story and historical elements, mashing it up with Doctor Who villains. Monsters that are completely invisible and can devour any living species.
And what cool concepts does RTD have that I can recall? Farting monsters, and The Doctor just spending time with his companion I guess. The Master going all crazy insane and bouncing all over the place "you can't stop me, Doctor" unleashing these razor sharp sphere balls on Earth killing millions of people while The Doctor just sits there wishing they could just be friend and The Master tortures his companions. According to the fan-base, WAY more cooler than what Steven Moffat has come up of! I don't know why many people on YouTube hate Moffat.

Honestly, I don't know why most people hate on Moffat either, but it might be because RTD wrote a lot of stuff for the 9th and 10th Doctor? Nostalgia, I guess. But in my opinion, Moffat easily had one of the best, if not the best, introduction of a new Doctor with "The Eleventh Hour". I think that one will always be my favorite episode. The way 11 was introduced, his quirks... It all felt very good. The Empty Child was also a really fantastic episode. It's an iconic episode! The one everyone quotes! (Or at least, the one me and my family quotes... I actually don't know about anyone else. xD)

Steven Moffat technically wrote more than RTD. RTD wrote seasons 1-4. Moffat has written seasons 5-10. (It's been confirmed that Moffat is finished writing season 10 so..)
My favorite episode is The Doctor's Wife because of the great concept of converting the TARDIS into a human form, and it introduced the fact to the new series that The Doctor stole the TARDIS in the beginning of it all. However credit from that idea goes to Neil Gaiman, an amazing writer that Moffat had on his side.
The Eleventh Hour is probably the best introduction episode in my opinion. The first episode in the new series, Rose, is okay, but Rose is a piece of crap compared to The Eleventh Hour. The way Steven Moffat introduced the 11th Doctor was perfect, I can agree with you on that too. The Empty Child was one of Moffat's first episodes and that was one of the best episodes he has written for Doctor Who.
Also, how do you feel about RTD wrote the Master compared to Steven Moffat's writing of the Master? RTD's John Simm Master felt like a poor, cliche villain honestly. Missy is what everybody blames for Moffat's bad writing, but at least she wasn't completely insane like the Simm Master.

To be honest, I kinda liked RTD's Master. I'm not 100% sure why, I just found him to be pretty enjoyable. But I love Missy as well! Probably more so, actually. She feels like an actual character instead of a cardboard cut out villain.

The John Simm Master is okay to like, I mean you probably find him enjoyable because of his jumpy, insane, cliche villain personality.
It's sad that everybody comments on how Moffat's villains look the same in appearance, while that doesn't exactly matter. Take Missy and Madame Kovarian for example: There are many differences between Madame Kovarian and Missy. Madame Kovarian wants to kill The Doctor, Missy wants to reunite with The Doctor. Madame Kovarian also has done many things that aren't in anyway similar to what Missy has done. I think that Missy is really an actual character. Steven Moffat actually took note of The Master's character development in the classic series and NuWho, that wasn't thrown all away like what RTD did with John Simm, who seemed to forget how much The Master actually had this (sort of) friendly connection to The Doctor, where he wouldn't reject staying with The Doctor alive.

I'm just glad that there's more of a connection between the Doctor and Master/Missy now. ;u; There was actual development between the two and it's no longer just the cliche "you're my sworn nemesis I must murder you/you're my sworn nemesis but I don't wanna kill you". vuv

Raspykoo In reply to Kliniki [2016-12-17 16:58:06 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, I see what you are saying. The 12th Doctor probably finds the friendship with Missy "icky" but probably doesn't want to kill her. I mean look at his face when Missy reveals that she is The Master. You can clearly see he is a bit disgusted. The development was great; you can see that The Master clearly changed, and I think it was to fit the "semi-rivalry"even more, because if the 12th Doctor was with the John Simm-type of Master, there would just be episodes full of 12 and the John Simm Master arguing with each other. And if 10 was with Missy, it really wouldn't be a rivalry anymore.
RTD used so many cliches in his writing. Steven Moffat is unique with his ideas.
