I noticed during your tail time-lapse video that you shaved the fur down quite a bit,and i was wondering if you could tell me how short you roughly shave to?
it quite hard to find long fur in a variety of greys in SA, and the taxes on shipping fur is often more than double the cost of the fur, so i am looking for another option!

Hello!
I recently finished watching your 8 part series on creating a fursuit head from start to finish and I must say that I'm quite impressed with the guidance that was available with your series!
However, I did have a few questions on building the head, relative to potential fabrics and the initial head base. I did indeed like the idea of using fleece for some of the smaller portions to create that "cuddly toy" look that you had mentioned, but how would using fleece by itself work for all of the head?
I'm trying to create a dragon fursuit head for myself and I'm looking for a uniformly textured fabric that would behave well on the base but also has a bit of a plush squish to it to give my mask a cuddly appearance. What kind of fabric do you think would be best for this sort of job?
Relative to the head base, I heard in your video that you hadn't recorded the base creation simply because it's a finicky thing to work with. Do you have a video over getting head measurements and cutting foam to make a head base?
And one more question: I saw that you use Buckram for your eyes. When washing the head of the suit. Does Buckram have a tendency to bleed in the wash? If so how would recommend I would clean the fursuit head?

Many heads are made of fleece, it's becoming ever more common. It works much the same way, just be careful of small, tight stitching to help hide seams, as well as where the seams are placed. Any wrinkles will be visible, so it helps to not addd any/much seam allowance and adjust where necessary.
Fleece or Minky fabric are my suggestions for plush/cuddly. Minky can be pricey, but it is super nice!

I've never washed buckram eyes - never needed to. However, acrylic paints are water resistant, which is what I use to paint the eyes, so there should be no reason that they bleed.
