I don't believe in a god but I appreciate the sentiment, I suppose... Not to sound ungrateful here but you don't know me, or how I think of myself, so while I really do understand what you are saying, it's not up to you to say how I should love myself. I get what you're trying to do, but I'm not particularly interested. You might not realize this, but telling random strangers that they are being too hard on themselves is really not okay because you have literally know idea what they are going through.

I absolutely LOVE your "Girl Who Rode a Bronze" series!!!Β
My friends and I were discussing the other day how one's sexuality or gender identity relates to one's ability to Impress different types of dragons. We figured I would be able to ride any type of dragon, seeing as how I'm an asexual cisgirl. But during mating flights, I'd have to be locked in my room, and have the key taken away to avoid discomfort. And my weyrmate would probably just be like a cool friend/roommate unless I fell for him. Then I'd let his dragon fly mine all the time, and we'd have to be locked in separate rooms...awkward. XD
Anywaaaaaaay, I'd probably like to ride a green the best. They seem the nicest!

Yeah, the Impression "criteria" that McCafferey has is really interesting, especially considering that fire lizards can be Impressed by whoever, regardless of gender- or sexual-identity. Have you read Dragonsdawn? That's actually where the idea for my series comes from - there's some cool info about how dragons were "engineered" to Impress a certain way, ie along mostly heterosexual and gender binary lines, so the inspiration behind Tameroth is what if the original genetics sort of made their way back into the code and disrupted that whole pattern? But, I'm glad you like it, I've sort of fallen in love with the main characters a bit XD
And I so agree, I would definitely be a greenrider. They're so wild and great! I like the browns too (Canth is hands down my favorite dragon ever) but I think I'm a little too raucous for 'em.
