All rights go to their rightful owners.)Meta Knight (Japanese: メタナイト Hepburn: Meta Naito?) is a fictional character in Nintendo's Kirby video game series created by Masahiro Sakurai and developed by HAL Laboratory. He first appeared in the 1993 video game Kirby's Adventure as a nameless character remaining there until the game Kirby's Avalanche. The character also appears in several Kirby comic books, in the 2001 anime series, and in the Super Smash Bros. series.
Meta Knight is a mysterious but honorable knight; due to this attitude he has played more a "friend or foe" role in the Kirby series, which led video game critics to debate his nature and allegiances.
He has received mainly positive critical reception since his introduction; his development within the series, from a nameless character to one of Kirby's main enemies, was praised, and he has been described as a "cool" character by reviewers.
Meta Knight is an honorable swordsman who follows the chivalric code; this is exemplified when he gives Kirby a sword with which to fight. He is always seen in a silver mask; beneath it he looks identical to Kirby, with a dark blue body (black in his first appearance) and white eyes, which appear yellow with his mask on. Meta Knight wears a navy-blue mantle, the Dimensional Cape (ディメンションマント Dimenshon Manto?), which can change into a set of bat-like wings (although in Kirby's Return to Dream Land, the wings grow directly from his body) and he usually wields a golden sword, known as the Galaxia Sword (宝剣ギャラクシア Hōken Gyarakushia?). He is usually described as Kirby's rival, and as an antihero. Despite being a villain, he has benign intentions and he will fight with Kirby (when necessary) for his survival. This attitude has led to debate about his allegiances.

"I hope my, "Driver" as my sister and brother would call him, isn't too much to handle. I'd be suprised if he didn't offer to rebuild the weapons of the Halberd with technology based off the Monado, as he finished developing."
[I] - A soft smile would show that he meant that in a kind way. He did care for Shulk in his own way. A red gem dangling from his neck, that was the same shade as Shulk's Monado, and a glow of blue from his eyes, like the light of Shulk's Monado. However, his silver hair, and jacket was misleading to many as no relations.

"Says....you?" He asked nudging him lightly with his foot. "When we're not fighting..i am not in the mood of a lesson from you. It's all talk and no show.." He sits down next to Meta Knight looking slightly intrigued by his mask. Of all things it was that, along with Lucina that peaked his curiousity so much. Picking it off of his face he stared at it. "What's so fancy about this? It's just nothing more but a mask.." Looking back at him, he could understand the reason thus handing it back just as fast. "Geez..that has to suck.."

Dark Pit, he lives up to his name at least- just a grunty, edgy version of his light side counterpart. The Star Warrior never really interacted with Dakr Pit- he really only spoke with Pit because the angel fanboyed over him all the time. But this interaction was a first- he wondered why Dark Pit started to talk to him now, until he was distracted. He felt the nudge and grimaced up at the dark angel through his mask.
"Well if you do not wish to be taught, then simply decline. No need for such hatred."
Meta Knight simply replied, watching Dark Pit sit next to him.
"My mask, what of it-"
He was cut off when Dark Pit took it off, instantly hiding his face with his cape, taking the mask back when he handed it back.
"...Do not... do that again."

"Don't act like you're oblivious. You know what's going on..and since you look so evidently like Kirby, you should feel the same way." He gave him a dark look annoyed at his responses. Studying Meta Knight's features he knew he was different in some way to remain unknown for practically everyone but he was curious to see what he looked like underneath that mask which proved to be a dissapointment. "You're nothing special..you just look like someone else..and is that why you're hiding behind that mask?" He didn't seem to be as into Meta Knight as Pit was.

"Well well... look who is talking."
He simply replied, closing his eyes- referring to Dark Pit looking EXACTLY like Pit.
"And you don't look like someone else?"
Meta Knight calmly opened his eyes back up again.

"Clearly..! That guy is ripping off my style..not the other way around." He squinted at Meta Knight. "What's it to you anyway? At least i don't carry around a stupid mask to look important.." Looking now more annoyed than ever, he gave a sly smirk. "Don't tell me you haven't noticed." Grabbing hold of Meta Knight he only seemed more annoyed and angry. For the most part angry that Pit still looked like him. At least he seemed to believe so. "Look close enough and you'll see..we don't look anything alike each other!"

"I beg to differ."
He merely replied, unfazed by Dark Pit's grudge.
"Your anger simply makes you look more childish, do you not realize?"
Meta Knight arched an eye under his mask, throwing himself out of Dark Pit's grasp, landing on the floor below him once again.
"And I have gotten a closer look..."
He was now amused by this conversation, just not showing it yet.
"...you two look very much the same."

The responses only made him more and more annoyed and just listening to him made him feel sick with anger. Glaring angrily at him, he didn't make a second thought before he attempted to kick Meta Knight. "We have nothing in common, you Kirby lookalike!" He growled trying to remain calm but he was beyond mad. It didn't make it any better since he wanted to tear off that mask and throw it far away so Meta Knight wouldn't make those comments about him.

Four. Four Smash Tournaments, and this one- the fifth, is anticipated to be the biggest one of them all. Meta Knight participated in two of them, both which had a plethora of contestants, all from different parts of the universe. He was glad that he was invited once again despite all the hate he got during the third tourney, which even carried over somewhat to the fourth.
Kirby and King Dedede were already moved in at the Smash Campus a few days ago, Meta Knight had to do some repairs on the Halberd before departing Dreamland, so he was arriving just today. The large ship flew in the skies high above the area, the Halberd followed the signs for landing safely. Upon landing his ship in the large area for other aircrafts to be parked, he recognized some of the other aircrafts- Fox, Falco, and Wolf's Arwings, Samus' ship, even Kirby's Warp Star was given a spot to be parked in.
He hopped out of the ship, then began to inspect the ship for a bit to check if anything went wrong on the flight- he wasn't in any hurry and wanted to ensure that it was in good condition, after all he did fix it before flying over.

the green knight was sitting on a field, just taking a break from adventures and all, mainly when he was around Shovel Knight himself.
his concerns were still there, thinking what if the cerulean lad can't find his beloved?, is she really lost forever?, the thoughts were jarring him.
he can't even relax for once, but can't shake the feeling that someone else is there.

Meta Knight strolled through Green Greens, seeing that most reconstruction and reformation was happening due to the King's absence- as the three pinnacle citizens of Dreamland were at the Smash Tournament. He was just taking a visit back home, and saw that the Waddle Dees and other residents have been living rather peacefully. Little did he know that there was an unexpected visitor...

The green knight then stands up and looked at the flowers and it calmed him down a bit.
custom knight sat back down to calm himself down from the thoughts he was getting, he soon noticed someone but they weren't human.
He seen weirder like deer ladies but he never saw a blue being before.

Meta Knight looked over to see the green other standing alone, who seemed to be looking over at him as well. He then turned his body to fully face him. "You look as if you have knight status... but are you part of the Meta Knights?"

he said this quietly, it was his habit of saying this in slight silence.
".. hate to ask but.. what's a meta knight?"
the green knight was completely confused, considering that he was never part of royalty in any way.

"Ah, you must not be from Dreamland then, are you not?" He asked calmly as he walked up slowly, cape wrapped around him. "A Meta Knight is a Knight of the group I lead here, and I am the leader- Meta Knight."

"I came from the village, not in dreamland, whatever you call it, I usually travel with my dear friend Shovel Knight, but I was taking a break in this field."

"I see... I did not realize that your village was so close to this village of Dreamland-" He responded. "Then where is your friend, this- Shovel Knight?"

He was worried about his friend Shovel Knight despite this, what if he was in danger? Captured or even killed? These thoughts were coming back to him.

"Hm... interesting... it sounds like he might've endeavored on a rather dangerous path then if he did not want you to venture on with him." Meta Knight responded, looking down the path leading into the depths of Whispy Woods. "Tell me, my friend... did he venture off that way into the woods?" He gestured towards the path that he was looking down.

he just looked at the path, trying to remember where did Shovel Knight go.

"I see..." Meta Knight responded. "Well, as a member of royalty of Dreamland, I offer you to stay in our village for the time being before your valiant companion returns from his journey." He gestured towards the distant visible village in the opposite direction.

The crisp cool air of the night drifted slightly through dreamland, but it would not be silent for long. A black and purple round portal had opened near Wispy Woods, a large wooden airship had come out of it, but it looked rather damaged. It was coming down fast, down, down, until a loud crash was heard, along with harsh vibrations as it impacted the ground.
Inside the ship, many Goombas and Koopas had been injured by the impact. Their Queen at the top of the ship was utterly confused, yet angry that she'd gotten attacked by some unknown force that trapped them into whatever this world was.

No one can truly remember when exactly someone had noticed that the cyan colored puffball known as Flare Silverstar, had gone missing. However, enough time had passed for people to start growing worried. The knight-in-training no longer showed up at the castle every day for work, and she missed her usual training; something that Flare would never miss even when sick.
After an entire month had passed, and still no sign of the female puffball, a search party went into Whispy Woods to check on her. However, when the group returned to the castle later that evening, they returned with something which no one had expected: the mask of the female knight, with three large and bloody claw marks across it, and her now broken sword, who's blade was also covered in bloody claw markings that matched the ones on the mask.
There had been no sign of Flare at her little wooden cottage deep in Whispy Woods, the house being completely untouched. Yet the clearing which the house resided in, had blood and claw marks covering the ground and many of the trees. No body was found...only the mask and broken sword were retrieved...
Some people believed that the cute cyan puffball was truly dead, while others believed she was alive. Some mourned, and others simply waved it off. All that anyone knew, was that there was a good chance that they would never see the excitable Flare or her beautiful smile, ever again...
. . . Over a year had passed in Dreamland since then, and many had long forgotten about Flare Silverstar and the joy she used to bring others. Very few remembered her, and fewer still missed her company. The only things that remained of her were far off memories, and her mask and the broken sword that had both been retrieved, which were handed over to Meta Knight, as Flare respected him greatly and because she would train with him every now and again.
No one spoke of her anymore, until one day, a strange cloaked figure who's hood covered their face, began to ask around town about the puffball. Everyone said the same thing, that they had no idea who this 'Flare' was. The cloaked figure was now at the castle, hoping to speak with the king, only to discover that he was not around. Disheartened, the figure walked around in search of the exit, getting lost within the long halls, before they eventually walked into the courtyard and sat down on the edge of the fountain, in the exact same spot in which Flare used to sit down.
There was simply silence, before the sound of a flute being played could be heard. A beautiful, sad, and almost familiar melody filled the air, echoing down some of the empty hallways, reaching the ears of anyone who happened to be passing by.

Meta Knight swung Galaxia around, in front of him were his two greatest apprentices, Sword and Blade Knight. "HYAA!" Sword lunged at his master and swung his sword, the two weapons clashing. Pushing Sword back a bit, Blade and Meta clashed- and Meta Knight overpowered by Blade a little bit. Stumbling back a bit, Meta Knight gave a chuckle. "Hm, you two are still master swordsmen, I am very impressed, all that training over these years from me have stayed with you after all." He sheathed Galaxia, wrapping his cape around himself. The two apprentices saluted. "Of course, Master Meta Knight! We are always loyal to your service." Sword exclaimed happily. "Indeed, we're always here for you, sir! Blade added. "Good to hear, my friends..." Meta replied. "Come, let us get some refreshments, a hard two hours of training has earned us some relaxation, after all." The three headed towards the cafe in King Dedede's palace. Good thing he wasn't around for a while, otherwise he'd be hogging all the food.
The three knights were found in the cafe, all having some tea. "My liege... if you don't mind me asking... wasn't there another wielder of the sword that you were training back a couple years ago???" Sword asked softly to his master. "Mm... I- don't quite recall... are you not referring to our comrade, Kirby?" Meta asked. "No, the being looks like Kirby, but definitely was able to use the sword like him as well! I think it was a she, was it a she, Sword?" Blade asked. "Beats me..." It then came back to Meta Knight. "Ah... Flare. That is whom you speak of." "Yeah! That's who she was... where'd she run off to?" Sword questioned. "..."
The three were cut off by the flute. "What is that???" "It's a flute, dummy..." "But who could play it that well? It sounds... beautiful." Meta Knight placed his cup down and leapt off his chair. "Come, we shall investigate..." He walked off slowly with his cape wrapped around him. Sword and Blade shortly followed him down the hallway, towards the melody.
