Hearty greetings to you, Alexandra, from California, where it's morning and I'm many hours behind you. Thank you for dropping by and viewing my art. Thank you for sharing your own art and style, as well. I especially enjoy both your ink drawings, graphite portraiture and that you're willing to explore the social and psychological condition.
Cheers,
Ed

Thanks for adding me and for your lovely comment! Although I found it kind of funny you saying "you dream of becoming as good at drawing as I am" when in my opinion you are actually better at it than me! Your ink drawings are absolutely gorgeous and I love the creativity and freedom that you put into your works whilst still keeping them very clean. I know I've never been able to do that, despite my love for this style! Keep up the good work, Ill be keeping my eye on you

Thank you for the faves and the watch. Your ink work is quite good. It looks like you are using dip pens, correct? That's a challenging tool, and you are doing well with it. One question, or hint, or I don't know what: when you draw patterns on fabric (like in "Merging" or the guy with the cats), the patterns are very flat. That's a legitimate style (hello Matisse), but it does flatten your image, where as having the patterns follow the contours of the fabric would give you more depth. So either way is fine; it depends what you're after.
Also your portraits are very impressive...much better than I could do at your age!

Yes, i like dip pens much more than regular ones. And, i don't know... i don't find this technique challenging at all. But that's probably because i've been using them for about five years now.
Glad you've noticed the thing about patterns. It was conceived this way. I really wanted to create quite realistic images, but with the addition of ornamentality. I could use shading and take into account the folds of clothing, but i didn't want to.
Though, if you narrow your lids and take a look at 'Merging', you would notice the difference in tone between the sleeves of the sweater and the rest of it. So i don't deny (ah, i can't find a proper antonym for 'flat'. Let it be not so suitable and not an adj...) three-dimensionality completely. But i neglect it consciously.
And thank you very much for the compliment

Well, then, I commend you for giving your drawings a distinctive style (I did notice the variations in"Merging", by the way). I also have to say..I hope it doesn't come off as condescending...your command of English is better than many (maybe most) Americans I know. I actually took a peek at your journal just because I thought "wow she's a good writer." Anyway, I hope you're in a better place now than when you wrote that. Having been a solitary, literature- and drawing-obsessed teen, I can somewhat relate.

I don't quite understand what you want to say
But thank you (for the last phrase), i'm feeling good now!
Could you, please, explain what journey are you talking about? And what i've said "not to be..."? It means a lot to me, so please.

sorry...i do a fuss about it...well the way my skills were i decided that i won't live enough to learn how do draw properly by myself, so i decided to start the drawing course with a friend of mine and well...i do know how to draw by now...but it's not like the basics would be enough anyway so i'm still going all the way to the end...also...i dunno it might be weird of me i dunno, but i tend to when i get to know people i tend to befriend then so fast that like...i dunno in 5 minutes i'll try my best to help with their problems and all...maybe it's wrong to do it, but it's just who i am and sorry for the late reply...i don't get active for quite a while e.e

Oh, now i see. Yes, i said "not to, etc"... But now i'm like "Wow, somebody on the other side of the world seems to care about me!". And, you know, knowing that really cheers me up. I wish i could make friends easily and take smb's problems to heart. Mostly i don't like strangers, even hate them. But you've posted a couple of comments here and i think you're nice. Thank you.
