Thank you! I have some plans for some pics but I dont really know where and how to start as its I realise a rather big " project"to start with. Especially for someone like me who has not drawn a picture in many many years😆And I have no idea about special drawing "ipads" people talk about here, but I would really really want one beside a regular set of pencils. I suspect that the latter will be what I begin with as Im a mother. I have indeed so many other things to see to that theyre paid before I spend money on myself!😆Guess I have to start saving then hahaha!Any advices what to choose from?Take care😊

My advise would be to start with traditional work and worry about the digital medium later on, since you say you don't have the money for digital tools right now. Why not start with traditional while you are saving for the other stuff? You want to stay practiced while you wait. And if you have not drawn in years, it would be good to loosen up and do some basic practice sketches. Still life stuff subjects that you see around the house, or figure sketches for example.

I'm a mother as well, but I'm a little confused as to what that has to do with the medium you use. I'm strictly traditional at the moment. I actually have a tablet but rarely use it because I just prefer traditional ( and I never bothered to learn the software that goes with it ). I can't advise which types of digital tools and software are best, as it's not my field of study, but there is a digital forum here where you can probably get some suggestions. My last bit of advise would be to not fall into the digital trap...and by that I mean, don't think that because you see a lot of people do it here that you must work in that medium alone. Many people do phenomenal traditional work here, as well, many people do both pretty successfully. If you want to work only in digital, go for it, but don't feel like you must do it right off the bat just because you've seen some others talking about it.

Hi! I just meant when I said Im a mom I usually spend money elsewhere than on myself and it has as you say nothing to do with what I use as a tool.😆Only that I need saving if I want a digital medium hence the comment of being a mom and provider.
I think your advice on what I can start to draw is very good.Things I have in the house are always around.Indeed a large source of objects to choose from.I can also count myself lucky I have a garden to oogle at if I start drawing hahaha! I think you are right there that nothing digital can be as good a stand in for a pencil if I want to get the feel back for drawing in my hand.

Okay, I guess I was just a little confused. I thought you were saying you would choose to go with digital because of being a mom   That is what threw me off.

To be fair, either medium can be expensive however, traditional does have cheaper options ( you can buy a basic graphite set for about 10 bucks - not sure what that translates into...is it kroner?...maybe I'm thinking of Denmark.)  Also, you can do some commissions here of some traditional works first and save money up for the tablet you want. When you get some of your sample works posted, start a journal offering commissions. I won't say it's easy to get sales, but it's worth a try if you want to put away some extra money for the digital tablet.
