Ha, y'see, my fiancee has his ring on a chain! So it kinda struck with us. I showed it to him, and he loved it. Thank you for writing it, really.

I actually wrote the poem one day inspired in the shower by looking down at the ring I wear on a chain around my neck. I actually got the firt few lines of it going through my head while I was still in the shower and had to keep repeating them to myself while I finished in the shower and then dried myself. I raced through the house naked to grab pen and paper to jot those first lines down then stood at my desk still sans clothing and actually wrote the rest.
I am really glad it struck a chord with you both. It always means so much to me when I hear from people and they either liked something I have done or it actually moved them or they found it matched an experience they had been through etc.
