One way I like to think about it:
Whenever you want to say "you are," (as in "you are welcome"), think of the "you" and "are" smashing together...
--> youare <--
and crushing the "a" into a small apostrophe...
--> *splat* <--
--> you're <--
"Your" is referring to someone's possession.
Another difficult one to remember is using "it's" for "it is", and "its" for something's
--> it is <--
--> *splat* <--
--> it's <--
...but for "its," I haven't thought of a visual explanation, unfortunately.
