Hey there!
So you're writing a story called Denaris...
Does this have anything to do with the Katakis, Denaris or Turrican games?

Sad thing, I can't read French. Any chance for an English version?

Hiya !

Denaris have nothing related to the games Katakis / Denaris, nor even Turrican. I asked Manfred Trenz if I could use this name 'cause he was working on Denaris / Katakis 2 and his society is called "Denaris Entertainment Software" (but no news since a lot of time on his site), and he told me that it was ok.

His site : [link]

It's sad that MT released casual garbage (to use nice words) on DS / GBA... a 2d Turrican-like would be great. He told me (maybe three years ago, I don't remember) that it could be a nice idea if Factor 5 didn't took the rights from THQ.

About my book, Denaris, I don't think I'll be able to translate it in english or german, but if I found someone skilled, I may give it a try !

See ya and take care !

Ok, maybe I give babelfish a try, but reading a whole story that style? No, I guess not.

Of course, I know the MT-Denaris page. Actually you can see all the causal garbage, he had to make to live, there.
So Factor5 took the rights from THQ. Sad. But then again, he could just make a Turrican like game, and call it different. The telephone book surly has a bunch of good titles left, don't you think?

Maybe so .

I'd love an handled Turrican... it's too sad that GGT seems to have fall into oblivion, and Hurrican's community on ice (the level editor should've been fixed and fully translated into english at least).

Have you seen the artworks of one of Factor 5's cancelled projects ? Looks like a 3D Turrican in a Metroid Prime like environment.

Chris Hüelsbeck once told me that Factor 5 was in admiration of Retro Studio for what they did with Metroid Prime : Factor 5 said that making a real Metroid gameplay with first person controls could be perfect for Thornado.

It's hard to be a Turri-fan now, hopefully there's UnderEarth coming !!

First, GGT is not in oblivion. As I told on my page (You know, it is available in English since 2006?) at the Future Turrican section, I got to play a beta version, and it was pretty much like a complete game back then!
It's quite a time ago, but be assured, the "verified developement" seal at GGT is verified indeed (Verified to be really slow though)!

Yes, I've seen the artwork, looks quite nice, but then again, it just was Factor5. A true Turrican would have to come from Denaris Entertainment, even with a different naming. Oh, ok, Retro Studios could do it, too, I think.^^

UnderEarth is pretty much done as well. I'm going to annoy my friend right now, to complete the last missing thing: Its title screen!

Ok, I'll trust then the Verified Developement seal ^o^ ! I think that Martin is about to unleash something big for the GameGear. I'd like to thank you for the English Section of your site , since there's no updates on Turrican Seta for the moment, I visit a lot more your site.

Factor 5 just thought that a First Person Adventure gameplay was perfect to make a 3D Metroid, with all the classical Metroid mechanics. When they saw the morph ball in Metroid Prime, I'm pretty sure that F5 was thinking "Man, that could be great for a Turrican wheel...".

Yeah, I love Metroid and the Prime Trilogy, maybe a lot more than Turrican (maybe 'cause Metroid is officially still alive). I'm pretty scared about Metroid Other M by Team Ninja (Samus doing some "catch moves" with weird ennemies, no devs wants to answer the "How about exploration ?" question...).
