I notice that you like dnb. Here's one of my favorite tracks of that genre: www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRU-IF…

Thanks~ I enjoy all of DnB's subgenres.
Ah cool, I see you like the darker side of DnB (they have the coolest rhythms)
(I can be a mite fastidious of certain genres, hah) but if you don't mind, here's a couple of my fav tunes of Darkstep, and of Techstep:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=qL-KsK…
and this one has a somewhat complex structure throughout the song (fun song~):Β www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_pFVu…

I see you like Black Metal (not that I know much about it) and some EDM (Electro House + Dubstep), and I'm just wondering if you've heard of Neue Deutsche HΓ€rte (German Electronic/Industrial Semi-Metal music - ah, idk how to describe it)?

My tastes tend to be eclectic & all over the place (based on my current mood), though darker themes have a special appeal.

Thank you for sharing the tunes. I'm always up for exposure to new music. I'll listen to them again later (I work a late shift & I'm recently in).

Here's a track with a dark tone I've listened a lot to recently. It's dubstep, though it might qualify as deathstep (so many subgenres).

Hey there! Marvin shot me a picture of your final mural in the sushi shop. Turned out great! AND he said it might get shown in an MTV shoot?? That's awesome!

Oh hey! Yeah someone who works at my dentist's office told me that she was there one night and saw some crew back where the mural is and I think it was MTV! It would be cool to find out what episode they might have used the mural in!

haha! the ending was so cool! I liked it! thanx for showing me the link. are you much of a dubstep or house music fan?
btw, today went well! thanx for your advice and having Brittany give hers as well! you two are so good artistically and the details in your work is awesome! (I tend to type more of what I think; I am not very expressive in person, as you can tell!)

No problem. And a fan of both actually.

Anytime. Like we were talking about, you seem to really have a passion for this stuff, and that's exactly what you'll need if you decide to make art/animation your career. I knew I wanted to do concept art by the time I was in middle school, but I didn't know HOW to get there until I was almost 20. That's what art school did for me, and seeing your work and knowing how much time and effort and thought goes into your stories and animations is going to give you a HUGE advantage over the other students in your field.

Just remember this the next time you're sitting next to your other classmates who are working on the same projects and ideas that you're working on: those people are going to be the same people you'll be working in a studio with 10 years from now. You guys are all fighting to go after the same jobs and I can honestly say getting to know other students (especially students that are BETTER than you) will only make you a better artist and you'll make some great friends along the way. So don't hide behind the internet Ask kids about their work and get to know them. They'll almost always want to know more about you and your art in return. And they should, because you're doing some pretty cool stuff!

So keep at it. Don't get get discouraged if you don't get something right on the first try, or someone is telling you to work on something you don't absolutely enjoy. As long as you're holding a pencil, or moving a brush, or stitching together zombie rabbits, or sculpting a gnarly face out of foil from your grilled cheese sandwich, you're helping to build up your skills as a creative professional.
