yah, I made a really tiny print (3 1/2' by 3`) of it in grey scale, put a black border around it (out of construction paper ) and put it on my wall with other art photos I like. Looks good in greyscale and a black border

Yah, nothing fancy really, I haven't had much time to play with my camera because of school, and my computer went kapoot on me so it took me a week to re-install everything.

I also need to buy a tripod thing so my pictures are less blurry.

You really only need a tripod if you are shooting at night or in a really dark setting and need to use a lower shutter speed...

I still don't even use one - if i am shooting in a dark setting, then i find ways around it like resting my camera on the ground or on a wall...

yeah i know, ha ha...depends on what kind of tripod you want however...the ones that i think are class are about 50-80$

It's going well, very happy with the purchase, though I have better luck taking pictures of objects more than friends at parties and what not. Been getting alot of red-eye, funking shadows and shading with the flash, and just not great pictures over all when taking candid of people. Oh well. Maybe it's my settings, I'll play with it more over the holidays.

Yeah, it only goes so far...the more money you spend, the better the quality of all these things generaly, having said that you should be able to get a pretty good shot outa that camera.

best advice is to just keep experementing, trial and error. You might stumble across something you like, or you might not, either way as long as you know what you did to get that effect your learning.

Try using the scene modes for partys and people (little head pic of a woman to the side) and turn red eye reduction on (press the flash button to cycle through the flash modes untill you get to a logo of an eye). See if that helps...

keep at it, all our photos started out like this but bit by bit they'll get better

i get ya. Best bet is just to press the 'reply' button under the original message and add it there, that way it comes up in my messages too. If you just write a message on your page the only way I'll see it is if I stop by your page
