My dad is trying to get a demo version of Maya for me to try out.
Heard that's really hard to use because you have to constantly refresh the page to get the slides to play and not freeze over thus lose all your work.

Cool! I'm thinking about either buying an old machine from the 90s and customizing the hell out of it (making it amazingly equipped for a 90s machine) to make something really cool to retro-compute on just for fun, or buying a pretty nice new machine with some sweet hardware or just building a new one with awesome parts. I'm not sure which I'll do yet.

Oh, can you give me the specs for the machine you're looking at? I'm curious to see what you're buying.
