# About me
Currently work as a freelance artist commissioned to create projects from scratch for my customers whether that be a custom sculpted head for a collectible figure or a fully articulated stop motion puppet.A wide range of tools and materials are used in my work to bring these projects to completion. I will take a project from initial rough sketches and orthographic drawings, to a completed project using anything from clay, wood, metal, plastic or foam.
Problem solving and some creativity are a must for many of these projects.
For the most up to date examples of my completed and in progress work you can check my Instagram.

I'm really impressed by your awesome gallery, I love it so much! Just spent half an hour looking through all the various different things you've made, respect for all those inventions! Are you a teacher?

Thank you. No I'm not a teacher but I graduated from an art college recently (though I only learned drawing and painting there).
Most of the other stuff are my hobbies Iv worked on in my free time. The puppets and clockwork stuff is more recent things Iv taken up.

What's happened to you? Are you still creating? Did you ever finish your mechanical bird and dragon? I'd love to know what became of them, and you.

Iv been meaning to get my deviant art back up and running this week though so youll see some more posts coming soon.

Depends on the character but If your looking to make movable plushes I see allot of people using twisted wire on the inside (cheapest way to make movable character). But if your looking for something better balljoint armatures are best, but can be expensive depending on where you get it and what. I started making my own to save money.

Hi guys, I've done some dolls using twisted wire on the inside, but the ones with the balljoint u make are awesome! look the one i made camilokotaro.deviantart.com/ar…
the bad thing about it is that you can have accidents like the one you can see on the picture. still yours really rock!

Thank you. And yeah I tried wire frames in the past but they do tend to wear out and break unexpectedly. But great work

Wow! You are so very skilled at them for starting this year! How did you make the armatures? Do you have any tutorials that helped you? Cause I'm trying really hard to find some and no luck.

Kristheblade In reply to Izin [2013-10-25 00:30:28 +0000 UTC]
Thank you very much ^^
I havent made tutorials yet. I understand what you mean, its tough finding tutorials to do this stuff so I had to pull information from multiple sources. I learned most of it by looking at how the Coraline and Paranorman movies were made.
For the armatures I make them myself. Heres some examples from my gallery kristheblade.deviantart.com/ar… kristheblade.deviantart.com/ar…
If you would like some information on how to make stop motion puppets I can send you some information and what tutorials I have found or give you some tips. I also do commissions so if you would even just like an armature or 2 that can be done. So feel free to ask any questions you like, Im on often through the week ^^

O.k., you still need the apron, goggles/glasses, warty nose and mustache, pants, and lime green shirt. I have your wig. This will work.
