It is a good rendering even if it isn’t a self portrait.

I love weekends too. But this weekend has been cool and rainy. Last week was sunny and 80 degrees F and next week will be too. But the weekend and the days off work…rain.

It’s only 5:00 in the afternoon here so I have Saturday night to party…

Yes, I'm here. Just finished mowing the lawn (it is just 3:00 PM). The brisket is in the slow cooker for dinner and now I am sitting with my feet and the lap top on the pal.

I'm trying to do some human coloring, because I've realized that I really suck at coloring people, so I'm doing some of that now...
Here it rained at about 7 o'clock but before that the weather was good
Do you draw sometimes? Because I've seen that in your gallery you have only photos

Human coloring is hard even in photography. Light plays differently off skin and off each parts of the body. Then you add body hair (especially with male bodies) and things get more complicated…(I almost said “things get harder’… but that also means something else). With photos you can edit changes in skin tone, value and hue. I don’t think you can do that with drawing.

No I don’t draw…just photography. But I would like some day to shoot some nude studies. I would like to incorporate the nudes into the nature I love to visit and shoot.

I haven't done any professional photography, so I wouldn't know about that, but it seems that humans are always the hardest to portray...
Anyway, I've done enough drawing for today, maybe I'll go check out dA chatrooms...
And yeah, you can manipulate digital art in various ways, but it is hard to make the perfect combination

Well it is true….sometime it does get harder…and stays that way until taken care of. I am not a professional photographer…just a hobby with me. But the editing just takes practice and trying different things…just remember to always keep the original unchanged and save any edits to another name or file.

Yeah, I'm trying to practice the realistic as I can drawing first, and then later, maybe I'll develop a certain style and everything... but first, I'll just draw and draw until I do it perfect

I can’t argue with the realism in your piece. The only thing I might add would be the hint of a happy trail…unless of course he shaves all of that.
