Tone?

Ibland det Àr mÄnga sÀtt att sÀga nÄtt. För exempel, jag kan sÀga 'ingen orsak', 'varsÄgod', 'tack sjÀlv' eller 'det var inget'.
Vilken ska jag sÀga?

I think these have different 'tones'.

(Lesden för min dÄliga svenska - first attempt at sentences with no knowledge of grammar )

Aha!

I try to write in the Nordic languages as much as possible. It's how I try to learn them and sound silly. (If I didn't have major exams in 6 weeks, I would try to translate this too.)

In school, we are not taught much english grammar so learning other languages is difficult. Svenska Àr nytt för mig, I'm still learning grammar and vocabulary. I still don't know which words to use sometimes (thanks for the help)

I'll quote my Swedish and English teacher on the matter of you learning much English grammar; she always used to say the better you know your own language the easier it is to put the knowledge you have of your own language, in to understanding and easier learning ^^

The Norse languages are quite different in grammar from English, but there are a lot of common words that all the Norse language (besides Finish) and English share ^^

I think it's cool that you wish to learn another language though! How is it that you learn via internet or an online study group? ^^

I wish I could have more time to learn and people that can teach me. Unfortunately, I have my university admission tests in 1 month so learning grammar and other languages will have to wait. I try to learn by reading grammar articles, simple news or sometimes listening to songs but Nordic languages are not offered at school here.

Actually, Finnish was the first language I looked at because I wanted to understand lyrics to a song (Start with the hardest one ). I understand much more now, but still my knowledge is basic.
