what pencils do you use for your sketching?

Umm, I use a range of different thickness's as well as grades. I usually start off with a HB for a really rough sketch to get the figure in proportion - I can draw back over it and make heaps of mistakes. Then I get another sheet of paper and draw the hardcopy. I use an F and very lightly mark out my final shape and structure; showing tonal values and shadows etc. Then I'll use a HB to define certain features that may be darker. The I go to 2B, 4B, 6B and finally an 8B to touch up hair etc. I sometimes use a mechanical pencil as well which a H led. As for brand I have some Derwents and also Mars Lumograph. And I also use graphite, charcoal, etc
