You do such beautiful work! I was just reading the answers of the other costumers for the historical costume gallery interview and I just wanted to let you know. Your dresses are always immaculate and I love to hear that there is someone else out there who appreciates the historical process behind a garment, not just the way it looks. Kudos

oh, thank you! your words mean so much to me, since i greatly admire your work and have often gone to reference it when working on a project. i don't think i could consider it historical clothing without the historical process--then it's just a costume. the clothes reveal so much about the people who made them, and to create the clothes today the way they did is to pay respect to those people. it would be so lovely to meet you someday and share construction tips and stories!

Oh thank you! One day I'm going to make it out to California for Costume College and to see all the amazing costumes made out on the other coast. If I do we'll have to have a cup of tea. It's good to find someone out there with the same costuming values as myself.
