Here the shin is sculpted in two parts, the front and the back. Here is a drawing of the full shin. Next I'll sent one of just the joint part.

One way you could potentially make your own joint, though difficult, is to sculpt to portions of a limb, for this example a shin and a thigh. Here I will draw the thigh.
