Other things: I play video games. ...lots of video games. I'm into Minecraft, Warframe, Portal, bunches of Steam games, and many Facebook flash games (they're so toxically addicting!) I have two doggies; a German Shepard and a Beagle, 8 months old and 12 years old respectively. I love going to Anime Boston (I cosplay as Rangiku Matsumoto from Bleach) and am currently part of a cosplay group called "Bleach in New England". Maybe one of you will find me there! : D

Well, you know, if you are still planning on making a portfolio, you can still join and probably get some feedbacks on your work. Even if you decide not to submit a portfolio to college board in the upcoming May. ^^

I am planning on making a portfolio, that's for sure. I just don't know if I'll get the teacher to take me on as an IS. Honestly, I haven't even come up with an idea for a concentration yet. (so.. rushed...) I'd be happy to join your group regardless!

You can still take the AP exam without an AP course. Some people do that for Spanish, because they are already native speakers. You just have to pay for the AP exam on your own, some schools pay for you if your teacher recommend you.
It's up to you, if you think you are too busy and cannot finish, it's still a pretty good experience to have a class. I do hope you get in, I don't see why not.

A concentration is just a theme, it can be something from "dog" to "poverty".
You have to do 12 pieces of artwork based on that theme, and you will have to write a few paragraphs to explain your theme when you submit your portfolio online.
