Hello, I really like your videos, they're all pretty interesting and your art is nice.
But as for your recent video on the teacher, I can't help but empathize with the teacher.
I understand that it is pretty bogus to discriminate against someone just because of their art style, but, if I were an art teacher that spent 2+ years in art school I'd be a little disappointed that a student wants to only draw anime.
I can't condone the actions of the school, but I feel their want to do so.
Sorry you had to put up with that though. Hope you find success in your future endeavours.

I just want to say right here and now that your style is unique and that no amount of validation from ANY teacher can change you. I found your page via youtube video about teachers not liking the whole 'anime' bit.
I really connected with it because I went through the same thing. Unless you were a clone of our teacher liking what she liked
and did pieces that looked like her own, you were graded harshly. She knew I drew anime and such but I kept it out of her classroom
at least to kinda make things easier. But because of that knowledge, even my ink sketch of a tiger DRAWN from reference , life like....
she told me 'would have been an A if it wasn't anime'
Not one piece of it was anime, and even had me do an anime piece by telling me to do it cause it was my passion and she failed me.
Honestly it comes down to opinion and how subjective a teacher can be but unfortunately we seemed to have those teachers who
only saw 'one thing' from you because she knew you doodled anime even if it was on the side.
totally giving you a watch, your video really meant a lot and my lord your work is adorable and amazing! keep it up and thanks for the video!

I would just like to say that watching your YouTube videos are really inspiring. I'm sure you read this a lot, but I honestly really feel more motivated and more positive towards my own art. I actually relate to a lot of things you've said, like with the teachers not wanting you to draw what you want. When I was in 9th grade, my teacher would absolutely despise my art work because it was of anime characters. Another thing I relate to is seeing how jealousy really affects you as an artist. I find myself becoming hurt or upset over seeing my younger friend being more skilled than I am, but I realize at the end of the day that I'll only get better. I'm excited to watch more of your videos and to see more of your amazing art! ^^

heya! i just saw your video abiut jealousy and i can say its very relatable. i've been often beating myself up cuz i compared myself to others (mostly younger artists who were also better than me) and its just a shame how this can pull you down :c
but ironically it was also this jealousy that got me to work harder so i would improve faster!
anyways i was happy to find someone who went through the same problem ;w;

Okay hey! I saw your newest youtube video where you were talking about jealousy towards other artists. I must say you're right. I'm a fast learner so my arts gets better with the day, but I still don't like it myself... I'm glad I don't get bitter because of people who ARE better, because I know one day I'll maybe be as good as them

by the way, I'm twelve and a half XD almost thirteen.. people say I draw pretty okay for my age, but I don't care about my age or my art. I just want to get better. I WILL get better. I think it's important as an artist to grow better and better, and never stop growing better.
