w/e... the Killing Joke is not the point is the 20+ years of history of Babs kicking ass as Oracle that are treated as irrelevant that irate me. :/

Well, I don't mean to sound persistent, or naggy, but like when you pointed out when I crossed the line with those jokes or about Mia, or how you've bothered to take the time to pay attention to how I type stuff on here, I wanted to make sure you knew all the information before you said anything.

Yeah, I know that is unwise to judge a story before you've read it, but with this move alone shows a lack of understanding of things that should not be done - i.e. erasure of one of the best developed disable characters in the story of medias - no matter how god and appealing the stories you can tell about his/her previous identity might be.
I'm not sure if I'm going to hate Babs as Batgirl - even though I am unhentusiastic about the portrayal she's been given through flashbacks by Dixon and other authors recently, as the books from the '60s doesn't make a good comparison for the extremely different narrative style. What I know for sure is that I hate that DC actually thinks it's a good idea to make her Batgirl again.

DC capitalizes in bad ideas. They must depend on the support of readers who are desperate to know what's going on even though they hear it's bad. If that makes sense. And they're always destroying good characters instead of working with them in situations that don't involve death. The Dibnys, the Harpers, the Teen Titans... the Legion isn't one that has to deal with death, but they keep getting rebooted because John Byrne got rid of Superboy and Supergirl with "The Man of Steel".
I'm not going to deny they have plenty of talented people, but they get dragged down with the ones who are ordered to create bad stories... or they ones that just plain SUCK.
