Hello! My name's Juliet and I'm an aspiring writer. I mainly enjoy short stories and poems (because of my short attention span) but will attempt pretty much any genre or style. Also, be sure to check out my journal entries for WIFLIs, where I review and discuss various books. An ode to blank spacesThere's an elephant in this room here,
well, not a real one of course; more like
a stalking panther, a pack of wolves waiting
to rip this scarred body to shreds just the
moment we finished stitching it back together;
Time for another transplant, another transfusion
(confusion) of colour blind spectrum resonance
to embrace the fracture and shatter rainbows
in a single, exhausted sigh craving sanctury from
the impending storm yet reaching shelter all too
late, missed your chance, sunsetβs passed and
we're left stumbling, alone, ashamed in the dark;
Look at all these lanky teenagers just finding
their place in the world (but still no idea who
they are), more bone than flesh more than
cloth with costume fronts, because nobody
can face themselves in the mirror when
identity melts with every second of realisation,
reality is nought more than a dream, a hope
invented to create substance in ever expanding
nothingness void vacuum, starless skies say;
