Thanks! It was pretty fun, although it was my first birthday away from home which kind of sucked. But it was alright, and I got cake out of it so it wan't all bad .

A lot actually, I went to Germany two weeks ago which was absolutely awesome, and I'm just trying to finish up this last week so I can go home for Christmas next Monday. Homesickness struck me all of a sudden a few weeks ago so I'm really looking forward to being home. What about you, how have you been? Any Christmas plans?

Good to hear (well not the "crap-mood" part obviously, but the "better now" part XD). Why the crap mood last week?

I'm fine, just reaaaally busy. Half of my classes end next week and the other half end in 2 weeks or so, so midterms and finals all around. But it's snowing so that's a plus 8D. I think that's one thing I'm going to miss next year, the heavy snowfall. We live high enough to where it's basically all pine trees and snow/rain during the winter so I've grown used to it. This is going to sound like a stupid question but is there skiing in England?

Not stupid at all, I had to google it XD I think there is but it's mostly indoor centres and stuff. You'd probably have to go Scotland if you want outdoor skiing

That place is like 40 minutes from my house, it's quite nice. It's interesting because it is built directly over the state border so you can ski from California to Nevada.
But snowboarding is so much more difficult! At least with skis your legs are free to move independently, I don't understand how one snowboards XD.

Butbutbut my stereotypical British ideas of those states tell me that Nevada is a desert with a designated area for gambling and California is one huge beach!
Just skateboarding on snow? XD I actually did that when I was about nine. A friend and I took the wheels off a skateboard and rode it down our street XDD

Lol noooo, that's SOUTH California, northern California is supposed to be entirely inhabited by mountains, hippies, communes, and San Francisco, get your stereotypes right! Though to be fair, that's an entirely apt description of Nevada...XD
Well maybe I can't snowboard because I also can't skateboard lol. A friend and I did the same thing actually, but then we decided that rolling down the street on a swivel-chair was much more fun (and potentially dangerous).

It's not my fault, all my knowledge of California comes from the Beach Boys! XDD And all my knowledge of Nevada comes from Fright Night and The Real Hustle X3
I used to LOVE skateboarding, I still have mine somewhere, it had aliens on it XDD Came off it into the middle of the road when I was eleven though, gave myself a concussion and a lovely deep open wound along my hip XP
The swivel chair thing sounds AMAZING though XD I would TOTALLY give that a go

Lol it's alright, all of my knowledge of England comes from BBC. Because OF COURSE you ALL sit around like 10 times a day, drink tea, and say "quite" a few times. Oh and you all have a monocle XD.
Ohh, nice. Yeah, my mom and two of my uncles have all broken something major while skateboarding so I decided to opt out.
It was, I recommend that everyone do that at least once before they die XD.
