no, I liked the world, and the idea of capes, and characters. At the end the author threw it all in the trash

It's not that Wildbow made the setting unusable, now we have two worlds to play in: relatable shadowy pre-golden morning and wacky post-morning brave-new-frontier. Take Looking Glass and Copacetic for example.
Supposedly we shouldn't have to hold out too much longer for Worm 2 btw! Definitely want to explore triggers and shards post-Scion.

Except that Scion was foreshadowed as far back as Miss Militia's interview. We knew there was an alien force behind it all; Cauldron also became more obvious. It was building up to Scion from day 1. Also after Golden Morning things are better. The end bringers are dormant and the good guys are more powerful. Sophia is forever chasing a ghost, taylor is happy
