Ahahaha. Yeah, evryone in an anime club is crazy in one way or another, so that would be inviting chaos. ^__^

Generally, no, as most of my art are photos or gifts made for people, but I do occasionally take prompts.

I can be hard to find things in some fandoms. ^_^; Certain ones it's like hitting the jackpot to find one person who likes the same series. Or there is no fanfiction in existence to keep the story alive past its end.

Cool! Sorry haven't been answering much. I haven't been on the computer much. I've rediscovered books. (Still love the Sammy Keyes mysteries. Don't care that they're marketed toward 9-12 year olds).

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Arothiel In reply to LisaTelramor [2013-05-23 02:21:39 +0000 UTC]

Not at all! Tis summer, being on a computer 24/7 is all and well when life revolves around papers, but when there's time to do other things, by all means it's a good idea. (I tend to be on a lot just because it's where I tend to write. )

9-12 books are awesome! I have a horribly guilty love for the Jedi Apprentice books, Deltora Quest, and several other series that almost everyone I know scoffs at. Bah! What know they? Awesome books are awesome books, well-written or no!

What are the Sammy Keyes mysteries about? Well, besides mysteries.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

LisaTelramor In reply to Arothiel [2013-05-24 17:21:11 +0000 UTC]

Sammy Keyes stories follow Sammy, a 12 (when the books start) year old girl living illegally with her grandmother in a government sponsored home for the elderly because her mom left her to go chase dreams of being an actress in Hollywood. In the first book Sammy is watching the hotel across the street with her binoculars because people watching is something to do when bored. She sees a crime taking place--only no one believes what she saw. Therefor, being the curious and stubborn kid that she is, she decides to investigate on her own...leading to all kinds of adventure and just escaping the attention of the law. There are 16 books currently, and I've read each of them. Sammy grows a lot during the books, and old enemies become friends, and new problems present themselves. I read for the voice as much as the mystery because the books are first person from her POV. She likes to name people if she doesn't know their real name (and even sometimes when she does) thus there are characters known as "Psycho Kitty Queen" and "Shovel Man" and "Screwdriver Sally". It's a lot of fun.

Illegally? That doesn't sound good. I mean, it sounds good that she's with her grandmother. Very good. But, hmm... Anyway, it sounds fun! I should try and find them, I've been staring at a black hole of what to read lately. I go to the library and they have all the same books they did two years ago, and very few new ones, and I never know what to order from other libraries. Anyway, yay! Fun is good. Fun is best. Yay fun s.

Not a good IC fic at all, but the placement of the second half had me in stiches. Almost more appropriate for those two...

And I don't know if you ever read Lord of the Rings fics, but this is a nice parody/summary of just about every pre-Quest fic involving Aragorn and his merry Elves ever.

LisaTelramor In reply to Arothiel [2013-05-19 01:07:58 +0000 UTC]

thanks for reading. Glad you're having fun with it and my characters. ^_^ People enjoying my writing makes it more worthwhile to have written. Keep in mind for the next part that I'll be rewriting a lot of it, and things have changed with what came before that will change chapter ten and beyond. Characters' personalities might be a bit off or plot might not match up because it changed while working. It's a lot rougher than the first nine chapters were. Still it should give insight to my writing process a bit, and give more of the story than was there before. Have fun!

Arothiel In reply to LisaTelramor [2013-05-19 03:28:15 +0000 UTC]

Okay! I'll be sure to not comment as much then, (as it would probably get annoying very quickly)! But I shall certainly enjoy it... Although I'm going to pester you to death over the ending I'm sure. Well, preferably not to death. But may I pester you?

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

LisaTelramor In reply to Arothiel [2013-05-19 04:00:50 +0000 UTC]

You may, but I remind you that there isn't an ending so... ? I actually have no idea how I want it to end exactly. There's an epilogue, but that's it.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Arothiel In reply to LisaTelramor [2013-05-19 04:05:37 +0000 UTC]

Precisely! Thus I will pester, for lack of ending to read.

And a link for you for an AMV from the anime I am currently watching: Kimi ni Todoke (English title, From Me to You). Very sugary sweet romantic story, but It leaves me wanting to squish the characters with hugs to make them kiss. So cute. Read the manga way back, but was recently recced the anime. ^_^ It's one of the few manga I've read where the boy is about as flustered as the girl with relationships even though he's more socially adjusted.

Arothiel In reply to LisaTelramor [2013-05-14 15:29:13 +0000 UTC]

D'aww!!! It's so cute! And they both seem so hopeless! Aw! How long is the series?

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

LisaTelramor In reply to Arothiel [2013-05-14 16:10:44 +0000 UTC]

37 episodes, two seasons.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Arothiel In reply to LisaTelramor [2013-05-14 20:24:00 +0000 UTC]

... That sounds frustrating. Do they actually take that long to figure things out? Or are they together for part of the series?

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

LisaTelramor In reply to Arothiel [2013-05-14 23:54:16 +0000 UTC]

I don't remember. The last 2-3 eps of the first season are their friends setting them up on new Year's, but there hasn't been a confession yet. Half the tension in romance series is the characters getting together. It's harder to keep the tension going once the characters start dating. Lovely Complex did it pretty well, but most tend to get kind of cliche and boring.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Arothiel In reply to LisaTelramor [2013-05-15 01:26:34 +0000 UTC]

That's what I figured, which makes me wonder how one can keep up obliviousness for so long without it becoming rather dull as well. Or, making you want to bash them on the head with a frying pan for being so dense. I suppose that wouldn't help much, although it may make their brain matter rather denser by compressing it. Maybe?

But, I suppose if the friends know what's going on it isn't so terrible. I suppose I should just try watching it and find out.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

LisaTelramor In reply to Arothiel [2013-05-15 04:47:09 +0000 UTC]

It mostly works because they're cute and blush a lot and are constantly misreading signals. They can be a bit dim, but to be fair the one character is figuring out how to interact with people in general and the relationship comes second.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Arothiel In reply to LisaTelramor [2013-05-15 13:08:01 +0000 UTC]

That makes sense. So it's a more general social issue. That does sound significantly more sustainable. Why do they have issues interacting with people? Just shy? Or something more dramatically traumatic?
