Yeah I don't know what they were thinking tbh... like the story I can probably deal with but I think it was very rushed :/
They should have stretched the new Big Bad intro out over two episodes I think

YES! Someone understands!  They completely rushed it and didn't
have any other alternatives but to rush the ending... and it wasn't
as good as it should have been.  I totally agree.  I would have love to
have seen it stretched, but Dean... ayiii Dean lol

I do believe they could have improved it just by spacing it out.. like we heard NOTHING about the "darkness" throughout the whole season, i think if it had been hinted at or even one extra episode like the second last one could have ended with Death telling Dean about the darkness and then finale was reactions, little more info... maybe im wrong but i think that would have made it somewhat better xD

Yep.  If they could have at LEAST mentioned "darkness"
or like most of the previous seasons did and gave that
shadow of foreboding so we, as the watchers could make our own
assumptions, and THEN hit us with the plot twist! lol Nah, you're right!
Spaced out and more steps leading to the end would have made that finale
epically better! xD
