Here ya go, the drone that flies unmaned (no one in it or on the ground). The Navy's X47B. It's a third the size of the flying Wing Bomber we have. It can fly 24/7 it refuels in flight, it surveils, recons and Strikes all by stealth. They had problems landing it on a carrier, thats been solved. It only lands if there's mechanical, electrical or computer problems which are monitored by a computer on the ground. February 20th, 2014 the latest GPS satellite went up which is also going to control all of the air traffic over the U.S. (a mistake I think). So this bird is going to be seen by the public in 2018. Make a search to see what you find. I wanted to get this to you sooner but my computer was on the brink of hitting the wall, it has a little more life yet. This thing flies with Guns, Missiles and Bombs and can go anywhere. When do you think it first flew!

Northrop Grumman's X-47B, which the Navy hasn't procured, isn't a combat-capable aircraft, and the one that is operating never will be. It's a tech demonstrator, a hopeful for the Navy's UCLASS RFP. Its budget was slashed and it no longer had a requirement for Autonomous Aerial Refueling (AAR) and that part of the program was never developed, so no, it can't refuel in air. Even if it did it couldn't re-arm itself and there is a lot of maintenance that needs to be done on turbine engines which would limit its ability to stay aloft to about a week, even -with- aerial refueling, which it doesn't have the capability to do. The computer problems are monitored, but it's a human that monitors the computer on the ground that is in contact with the aircraft. The Navy specifically doesn't want an aircraft that is completely autonomous. It doesn't have guns; it has two internal weapon bays that can carry a max of 4,500 lbs of ordinance. The public has already seen this thing; its first flight is well documented on Feb 4, 2011, three years ago.

Maybe I got the name wrong but there's an unmanned aircraft that refuels, is stealth, carries missiles and bombs has guns and will strike where ever and when ever we want, that lands on carriers.
Yes someone monitors the computer but it flies itself. What I seen wasn't a demonstrator or had a turbine. Your knowledge of the real world is above average, try Black Projects where everything else starts that Kills people. What's flying now is always fifty years behind of what we really have like what operates in all mediums, space, air and underwater. Were back to the need to know, Think Bigger. The F-35 is the last manned fighter we will ever make, so if we'er thinking bigger what's next! 2018 we'll see.
