# About me

My actual name is Kayleigh Brown. I am originally from buckinghamshire, England, but I live now Kettering Northamptionshire. Currently I'm 23 although I feel older, and I have a partner who goes by the name Two blade
You can find him here :-

I vary in my pieces, and now mostly do digital artwork seeing as I have no working scanner to scan in my artwork, shame really.. Anyway moving on. I enjoy many things, but mostly gaming (as you can see by my favourites I am a nerd! ish.. probably, and I have Matt (Two-blade) to thank for that haha. I also enjoy books, and lots of them, harry potter and The Forestwife Trilogy just to name a couple. Music well.. I could go into that but.. if you don't have anyone playing instruments in your so-called band.. you aint a band! Yes I love rock, metal(lica), operatic metal (Nightwish).. rock 'n' roll (Sabbath) yeah that about sums it up.

Still awaiting those pictures from my other half.. I'll badger him tomorrow lol. But they turned out brilliant, not to the standards of your brilliant cakes but still brilliant.. and they went down well lol.

BeanieBat In reply to Lone-wolfkay [2013-05-24 21:29:12 +0000 UTC]

Yay! Glad they turned out to your liking! I'm looking forward to seeing them =] What flavour were they?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Lone-wolfkay In reply to BeanieBat [2013-05-25 20:48:00 +0000 UTC]

They were just the ordinary vanilla flavour, and I put red food colouring in them as well.. but the mix ended up being pink and you can't add alot for whatever reason I cannot remember lol. I did try one of my spares and it was just as good as my Mum's cakes (the standards of whom are hard to achieve in most things )

Mmmmm they sound yummy! Yeah sometimes it's hard to get a strong colour with certain food colouring!

Lone-wolfkay In reply to BeanieBat [2013-05-28 17:57:05 +0000 UTC]

Yea the amount of times I've seen my mum try to get the mix red is .. uncountable haha. Black paste however now that's a real argh with icing ¬.¬

BeanieBat In reply to Lone-wolfkay [2013-05-28 18:24:51 +0000 UTC]

Yeah! Black is the worst! I just buy black fondant now, rather than attempt to colour my own!

Lone-wolfkay In reply to BeanieBat [2013-05-29 21:47:51 +0000 UTC]

Isn't that expensive though? My Mum bought some and they came in small packages at around possible 4-5 quid per pack.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

BeanieBat In reply to Lone-wolfkay [2013-05-29 21:51:06 +0000 UTC]

They're about £2-£2.20 for 250g I think. I don't normally use too much black, so it's not too bad =]

From whereabouts? We live in Kettering (northants) and she has to go to Corby or Wellingborough for any decent materials. (Also she said she'll never to royal icing roses ever again haha)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

BeanieBat In reply to Lone-wolfkay [2013-05-31 09:17:43 +0000 UTC]

I'm in Edinburgh and I normally go to a nice little cake shop nearby... and sometimes HobbyCraft. But you can get it on ebay for a bit cheaper if you have time to wait for delivery. It's Renshaw's icing I use.

I also noticed Sainsbury's have started selling their own icing in various colours, but haven't tried them out yet.

Hehe, I don't blame her! Royal icing is a pain to work with!

Lone-wolfkay In reply to BeanieBat [2013-05-31 12:22:49 +0000 UTC]

Ooh, Sainsbury's is just up the road (literally) from us, I might go have have a look to see if they got some in, if so i'm dragging my poor boyfriend to Sainsbury's to use his employee discount card

Welcome. My son showed me that this morning, so I thought maybe I should pass it along. Love the disconnected joints on these new critters. I think it's going to be good.

thanks very much me and matt have been keeping up to date with some of the stuff they've brought out, including "forward unto dawn" which look fantastic. The disconnected joints make them more ethereal yet at the same time I like how they've kept the forms almost believable, like it's plausible that they exist. These guys also seem to remind me of something from transformers.. but with cyberman-ish stuff like the skull inside the helm? Game should be great but challenging, very challenging for me but Matt's jumping in the deep end on legendary.. I'm going to be watching him swearing for England I think.. I'll have popcorn at the ready

WhiteAntCrawls In reply to Lone-wolfkay [2012-09-15 04:00:08 +0000 UTC]

LOL! Swearing for England--ha! Yeah, I can't wait to see this up and running. My boy also jumps right into legendary, as in, "If it ain't hard, it ain't worth doing." My boy's off to the Army in January, so I figure he can get all his alien-killing out of his system before then.

Popcorn, coming up!

Lone-wolfkay In reply to WhiteAntCrawls [2012-09-15 04:31:29 +0000 UTC]

Haha, I think it's some form of default mechanism in boys, to jump in the deep end when it comes to gaming, sometimes just to get legendary over and done with and get most of the achievements as they go, I suppose it saves achievement hunting when they've completed it:S. though it's very funny to watch, it's either disapointment, or absolute frustration and maybe the flinging of a controller (and then picking the up checking for any damage and swearing if there is).

Sweet or salted?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

WhiteAntCrawls In reply to Lone-wolfkay [2012-09-15 12:22:42 +0000 UTC]

No controller-flinging at my house, since they would have to pay to replace it themselves. I'm a mean mom that way. I'm convinced that this is "the thrill of the hunt" for the technological age. Picture cavemen and mammoth in miniature.

Salty, and a Heineken, please.

Lone-wolfkay In reply to WhiteAntCrawls [2012-09-15 19:26:42 +0000 UTC]

Haham Matt did it once, still works but the L1 buttons a bit stiff now. And I think that buying anew one themselves is a good idea, gets them to appreciate things more .

Sweet for me and a good strong Jack n Coke with ice. What's Heineken like?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

WhiteAntCrawls In reply to Lone-wolfkay [2012-09-16 02:02:17 +0000 UTC]

Heineken's Dutch beer, so it's strong, yeasty, and goes well with salty popcorn. I'm actually a tequila and lime girl, but if there's popcorn, I'll take a beer, please.

We have a game shop here called Game Stop, and if you get a membership, they ship you a gaming info magazine (Game Informer) every month. Big article on Halo 4 and the promethians this month, but it doesn't look like they have it online, unless you subscribe. Other Halo stuff's there, tho. [link]

Ah Matt gets the official Xbox magazine and gets videos on waypoint, so that' our information hub on most things. But I'll check that out see what they say about the Prometheans (why do I think about ME3 when I say that?)
