I like your style of painting. I've been wanting to paint (digitally) for quite a time, but I do not know where to start.

well appart from the wacom you need some photo references and anatomy/perspective tutorials.

Depends on what would you like to focus on. some people like to draw detailed lineart and complicated ornaments and use flat colors, others like abstract brush strokes and emphasize on the generals character shapes and atmosphere or others like to make nice skin tones and simple backrounds and etc...
its depends on where do you want to take your art

I work with a Wacom Intuos 3 for two years now, the main problems I am having is choosing the colors, and making subtle gradations in color and brightness.

Beautiful pics lord. It was a succesful day I'm sure at the factory. Was it easy getting inside? And did you get to see everything? There were some leftovers from a steamengine as well. Can't wait for your next photos

Yes, the entrance was very easy, an open window proved to be a convenient entrance point.
We did not get into the main building unfortunately, so we will return some other time.
The only building we've been was at the side of the railroad station. Not very spectaculair and diverse, but perfect for the photographs I wanted to make.

I don't know. There are always better photographers...
I just try to have fun and make satisfying pictures for myself. And hopefully for others. The latter seams to be easier than the first though.
