Still currently active with shadowcasting for the time being (www.amberdoesdallas.com). We are mostly doing Rocky Horror, but Repo still happens regularly.
I want to do some TDC stuff, but it's a mostly universal consensus that the movie doesn't lend itself well to shadowcasting.. I'd attribute that to its music video style shooting I do want to do some TDC pre-shows though sometime. Mostly Trust Me, because Scorpion is pretty much my normal clothes, and I REALLY REALLY want to make a Wheel of Death

You're welcome! I know a lot of the comments were about the wig, but yeah, it really surprised me, since it's the hardest part of his costume. I've never seen anyone do it like you did, and it really inspired me for the future since my gf and I are planning Hiei/Kurama for future cosplays (not yaoi), and I think the way you did the wig is the way to go.

You should totally get more into cosplay, I think you'd have a nack for it, and it looks like you would be really unique (again, never seen a wig styled that way before)!

I'm really glad that it inspired you though! Are you planning on making your own wigs or are you going to buy them? Who are you planning on being by the way Kurama or Hiei? Just curious ^^, I always love to see YYH cosplayers out there ^^.

I've been trying to get into cosplay a bit more, though it hasn't really worked out for me, lol. Just a snag I'm sure.

My girlfriend is really talented with wig construction, she has been stewing over how to do the perfect Kurama wig for a while now. Hiei is my favorite, but our height difference works better for me to be Kurama, which is her favorite. If we ever get around to it, that's how it'll be, but I very well may do Hiei a few times just so I can have the dragon tattoo (it was a dream to get a real one for sooo many years). Still have his final season shirt/pants from a halloween costume that I did in high school
Plus, I would love for us to do Hiei & Mukuro. Best badass couple ever

I find motivation to start new cosplays to be the hardest part, so I tend to do a character, then keep wearing it forever and try to improve/add something new between each use. If you are finding it hard to do new stuff, maybe just keep improving what you do have until you can't any more. Maybe add a prop, try the dragon tattoo or crazy arm seal, sword, different costume of his, etc. Seeing a prop like this makes me want to do something similar with the dragon: [link] There's plenty of potential hidden within Hiei, even if his changes are very subtle throughout the show. It's a good way to improve on skills without undertaking entirely new costumes ^^

Neat I wish her luck with getting the Kurama wig to look right, it's an interesting one, and I have yet to see one actually look accurate (same with a Hiei wig too actually ).

And thanks, I'm currently working on fixing up my old one for a con in about a week. Lot's of work a head of me That pic of the Ojigi plant though was pretty cool, first time I've seen something like that, that was cool.

Thanks! I'm actually thinking about re-lining from the waist down with black satin to be a little less eye-catching (green on black is sooo obvious) and so it won't get caught on my clothes (cotton rubbing on cotton pulls the lining out of place, kind of annoying)

Black satin from the waist down would look awesome! Honestly, I get why it's lined with green waterproofing material, I mean obviously the coat is designed for function over form, but still... you'd think all pure black would suit the menacing look Rotti wants much more.

Though to be fair, I doubt most victims see the lining...

(Sheesh, I sound like a project runway judge on Repo.)
