Well, yes but that's not what it's all about. The idea of it is to go onto other deviant's sites to give badges (or return them) so that you check out other deviants' DA pages. For instance, I've had nearly 20,000 transactions and have found several dozen professional (in my opinion) artists that I really like a lot that I otherwise would have never knew existed. So, it's kinda a marketing thing by DA for DA members. And, it's addicting as all get out because you can get customized llama badges when you are at certain thresholds.
Hope that's a bit more in-depth for you. If you have any other questions I'll be glad 2 answer what I can.

Yes, I take it seriously (you've even gotten a llama from me, just checked) because I've given out so many more than I've received & it pisses me off when people join trading groups and don't trade. It's nonsensical.
