It was late into the night in the kingdom of Nohr when Laslow silently step out of his room. Usually this meant he was going to dance somewhere under the moonlight but that wasn't the case tonight unfortunately.

He carried a sack tightly in his right hand while wearing commoner-like clothing. It was strange but there was a reason for all this. Laslow, or Inigo as his true name was, was planning on going back home to Ylisse. His job was done. It was time to return now. However, before he was able to leave, he spotted Xander.

Immediately he tried hiding his sack full of things behind his back, smiling kindly and innocently. "Oh, you're awake. You scared me." He said with a chuckle. "I was just about to go patrolling. Is there something you need, milord?"

And goddamn, we're starting with angst right off the bat- nICE. ;^)The war was finally over- no more killing and there would peace coming soon after. Though the stresses and worries were just replaced with replaced with a new kind that came with inheriting the throne and beginning new policies, sorting Nohr after the war and many more duties. He still depended on his faithful retainers for support and of military leadership, since there was still trouble roaming around even with the war gone. There would be many nights where the newest king would be up late, signing and wording peace treaties and negotiations; and tonight was one of those nights. 

Feeling a headache rolling in as he reworded a negotiation for the millionth time, his hand briefly went through the curly bangs. Maybe he did need a break after a long day. He suddenly thought of the training arena, knowing that he have not been devoting as much time due to constant meetings and evaluation. If it proved to be de-stressing in the past, surely, it would not fail him here. As he ventured outside, he was only dressed in a formal collared shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. In the pale moonlight that illuminated the outside courtyard and the halls, he found a familiar face roaming it, seeming to be in a hurry. At this hour ? Xander's eyes furrowed in concern and slight confusion. 

As his retainer greeted him, Xander replied with doubt coloring every word of his voice, " Laslow ? ". The quick eyes noticed the rather full sack behind Laslow's back. Scouting ? Perhaps someone did assign Laslow to scout in their place but Xander doubted that no one needs that much to scout around the fortified castle with the guards still in their night shifts. ...Laslow did mention leaving for his homeland before, but... Xander never would have expected any day. He grown extremely fond of the other's prescence and mannerisms, and loyalty. The very realistic possibility of Laslow leaving still hurt, slowly carving into his heart. But if Laslow would be more happy and alive over there, then so be it. At least, he got to know Laslow as a cherished close friend. The new king shook his head, " No. But- ". Xander continued in a concerned and serious voice, wanting to skip the chase and get some answers, " Are you leaving for your homeland now ? ". There was no sense of disappointment or regret in the lord's voice, simply just a sense of finality.
